I truly liked participating in this one. I'm familiar with the belief that the Holy Spirit could only come when Jesus ascended. However, it wasn't what I was taught. I had a different understanding of the promise of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:32-33. What did Jesus receive? I was taught He received the restoration of the kingdom and the restoration of the covenant and then He poured out blessings. Did Jesus receive the kingdom when He ascended? I was taught that these three terms all are synonymous: the gift of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Holy Spirit, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I'm still trying to sort it out.

The problem with the restoration concept IMO is that we have to ask a different question ... when did the Kingdom of God stop being the Kingdom of God? That is different from the kingdom of Israel and recognizing it will be restored. Just as Jesus is Lord, has always been, is now and will always be, the Kingdom of God has been, is and will always be His. The parable of the landowner who rented out the land is a great example of this. There is a time that sin and evil have a certain reign, but even that is still under the sovereignty of God and has extremely limited power. Jesus will come back and establish the Millennial Kingdom, but even that is temporal, for after the 1000 years that will be destroyed and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. 

Also, did He restore the covenant or usher in the New Covenant?

The most that Jesus could receive is all that He willfully laid down and has taken back up. To sound a little redundant, It has always been, is now and will always be His ... He created it all.

I would say that those three terms are not synonymous. When we break it down in Scripture I believe we see a difference. 

I enjoyed last night too. A bit longer than usual, but worth it ... I trust :-)

It has to do with the death of Jesus being a ransom and redemption. 
Jesus gave His life to free us from being held in slavery to Satan and being slaves to sin. Redemption was the act of paying the ransom and the ransom brings freedom. A price had to be paid to release us from slavery to Satan, sin, and death. Also, it has to do with being transferred from the kingdom of darkness and being placed in the kingdom of the Son where Christ is the ruler, and we must obey His laws. 

It makes sense to me that God’s rule is over all the universe. However, there are people in the world who aren't in the kingdom of God, neither are Satan and demons. Are the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven, and the kingdom of Christ synonymous, too, and being in Christ, or in the church, or in His kingdom all three synonymous?

As you know, in the past, I have believed that a spiritual war is going on between good and evil. We can be victorious, or we can fall short and die. We must live obediently serving Jesus. Mark 13:13. Revelation 2:10.

Something to read on this that is pretty good and rather short is "Vines NT" on kingdoms. It makes some good points regarding Kingdom of Heaven and Kingdom of God.

Will you fix the spelling areas in your sentence "In my are had major storms last night causing sme glitching in the vieo."

I fell it is the fruits of the spirit /You change in side out haveing a new  godly mind a life becomes nothing but jesus. You do not any longer do the worldly things, one begin to keep the commandments of god.
