Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

The Golden Gate is the actual gate through which Jesus entered, riding on a donkey. The Arabs have since sealed the Gate in order to keep Jesus out when He returns.

Pilgrimage to the Holy Land - Via Dolarosa

Along this path, known as the Via Dolarosa, our precious Messiah Jesus dragged His Cross. As I walked along this path, I began to struggle with my emotions. [Today Muslim merchants ply their trade along the path.]

The Garden Tomb

Here we line up outside what was Jesus' Tomb, waiting our turn to enter. I'm not ashamed to admit that I lost control of my emotions and allowed the tears to flow. This tomb is situated within what would have been a garden, just as the Bible states. Again you can visualize the scene: "Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was a never man yet laid..." [John 19:41]

The Empty Tomb

At last, I was alone inside the Tomb [Sepulchre] just staring at the place where the body of our Messiah was layed! I could hardly believe I was actually standing there! Praise the Lord, He is risen!
