All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

These photos are from a month long trip to Florida and a two-week Caribbean cruise most of May of 2012 as a graduation and farewell gift for my German friend Annea as she prepared to return home to Stuttgart, Germany to begin working on her Doctorate. She had never seen the ocean and tropics before. In November, she would return to the area on her honeymoon. I will try to stay with the nature theme along with adding a few general photos of interest. Sunrise and sunset photos from the trip are posted at the end of the discussion "The Glory of Scenery touched by our God".

After 20 attempts, she  finally got the shot she wanted of a pelican.

That night, we boarded the ship for the ride back Ft. Lauderdale port 26th, there we did one last stop at Caspersen for shark teeth, and drove like mad north since a nasty tropical storm was right behind us and followed us all the way to Kentucky. Made it safely home on the 29th.
Photo is of the storm at sunrise behind us as we approached Florida.

For those that have followed this lengthy discussion I hope you found it enjoyable. It is sort of a tradition that a year after "a Lady" ceases to be a source of power and joy in my life, I revist our times together, organize our various photos and keepsakes, then pack them away even as I pack away the memories in the corridors of my heart and mind. Annea was and is a very special woman: may God Bless her and hers for all of the days to come: Until we meet before God my German Valkyrie!
(Annea's self-photograph as "Goddess of the Woods") Which she was.

aaawwwww

She would sneak out in the woods in her various period costumes and lie in wait to ambush me.
First time she did this "Goddess of the Woods" thing, for two weeks after I had the worse case of poison ivy that even God had ever seen.
