There really is a place we Christians can get to in the Lord where being single is a blessing and waiting for a Godly mate is not a big deal. I am single by choice. If I wanted a girlfriend I would have one, but is not about having someone to go out with ect. Is about finding an on fire mate who I can serve God with who is compatible with me and I have chemistry with and that is not that easy to find, but I rather be single than be in the wrong relationship. Someone I can study, pray with fellowship with and have fun with. There is nothing sexier and more beautiful on the face of the earth than a Godly woman. A person who loves God more than they will love me, for only then can we love right. I been single for a while and truly tell you that there is a place we can get to in the Lord where loneness is not an issue. Yes we get lonely here and there, but is not a burden is actually a blessing to be able to work in God's kingdom without having to factor in the responsibilities of a relationship, but finding a mate you can serve God with is the Key.

the chap im seeing at the moment, i dont know where it will go as im very insecure,
i dont believe he will love me, i dont trust any man not to smack me one,
im paranoid incase i do anything to upset him.
he has a lot of work on his hands with me and i dont know if he is strong enough or willing enough to work that hard,

i hope he is because we get on great, but with all my inner problems, as i said, i dont know where this will go

Though I struggle with loneliness and the lingering pain of rejection from the man I devoted 12 years of my life to... I await the time that God will fix what's wrong in my life.

If I may say... don't rely on your strength to get back on your feet again, it might never happen... trust God to do all the work. He will deliver! I know this... it will happen for me and it will happen for everyone else who believes.

Comment by angels and demons on October 17, 2010 at 2:23am: i know what you feel is an awful thing as i have been there myself, years of abuse has made me into somebody who cannot have a relationship, i cant be happy in one because ive been so twisted around and the only man i trust is Jesus, i wont let a man within a mile of me.
despite how you feel, i really do envy you as you know what it is like to be loved and you are able to build yourself up, get back on your feet and start again, i can only dream of it, i can imagine being happy and close to someone but i know it isnt real for me

A man walking on the beach was deep in prayer. Then God spoke to him saying that because he had always been faithful, one wish would be granted to him.

The man said he wanted a bridge to Hawaii so he could drive there. God said his materialistic wish was too difficult and it would take too many natural resources, and that he should think of another wish.

The man thought for a time, then said he wished that he could understand his wife, know her feelings, what she wants, and why she gives him the silent treatment and says nothing is wrong.

The Lord thought, then replied, "You want two lanes or four lanes on that bridge?"
