So sorry Bill that this has happened to you. You will definitely be in my prayers.
I've been away from this forum way too long! Lifting these adult children up in prayer, including the two I wrote about. The mariage is still teetering on the brink, but no actual divorce yet.
I just seen this group & knew my name def needed to be in here. My daughter is doing great but it's just the beginning of a journey that I pray she continues to walk in. Her name is Destiny.
As mothers, our role lasts as long as we live. Our responsibilities towards our children never ends until we leave them. Though they become independent, our prayers for them continue and they in turn always fall back on us for inspiration and advice. Let us not relent in our prayers for our children and our grandchildren. The world today offers many things that lead them astray and to self distruction.
Let us continue to offer our prayers for them not to go astray, but to follow the straight and narrow way. Let pray that they find joy in the Lord and to do His will. Amen
Substance and drug abuse is on the rise among the youth. We try to bring our children up in the right way but out of the comfort of their homes, they succumb to peer pressure and end up doing drugs. In my line of work, I come across these youth who feel that they derive joy from drugs. I try my best to make them aware that true joy comes from the Lord but they only laugh. Join me in prayer sisters to continue praying for the youth. They are our future leaders. If we do not entervene I wonder where good leaders would come from.
Dear friends, I wish for us to find ways to help the youth of today. They seem to be slipping away through our guidance and the evil one has got the majority of them hooked on drugs and other substance abuse. I have to deal with the youth in my line of work and this has been my concern. I am open to suggestions as to how to draw them away from their bad habits to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Blessings to you all.
Sometimes I wonder why children always want to do the opposite of what parents want. They seem to have a mind of their own and we shouldn't blame ourselves for how they turn up. We bring them up as best as we can but the world we live in these days is so unpredictable thus making our children unpredictable. Some years ago I decided to stop talking to my son because of his ways. I then realised that it was a wrong decision so I called him and reminded him of the importance of God in his life. I try to text him a bible verse everyday. I don't know whether he reads them or not but by the grace of GOD he has improved. As parents we should not relent in our prayers for our children. Lets pray for ALL the youth out there so that our Lord should intervene and be merciful to them. Lets not give up, all will be well. I believe our prayers will not be in vain. All mothers will be in my prayers today
