"Miraculous" Growth in Three Easy Steps

How to Grow
Many Christians say they want to grow in their spiritual life or get closer to God, but they don't know how or lack a plan. Growth in Christ can be as simple as following through with what we call the 2-3-2 plan. You will be amazed at how your spiritual life develops; it will seem almost miraculous!

Developing a Daily Habit
One of the goals of the 2-3-2 plan is to develop some healthy habits or spiritual disciplines you’ll practice daily. Most of us don’t like the word discipline, but just as brushing one’s teeth, taking a bath, exercise, and eating healthy food on a daily basis promotes physical health and growth, good daily spiritual disciplines promote a healthy relationship with God. Over time, you’ll find yourself building spiritual vibrancy, health and “muscle” which will enable you to rely more on the Lord, help you cope with life challenges and relate better to others. Looking back, you’ll see how you've grown and how you are better able to cope with life challenges because you were following God’s “owners manual” for life (the Bible), regularly seeking God’s help, and making better, wiser choices.

Growth Takes Time
Keep in mind that even though you may have received Jesus Christ as your Savior and now have a relationship with God, changing your thought patterns and learning to live consistently in this new way often takes a long time. One doesn’t just wake up one morning after years of inactivity and decide to compete in an Olympic marathon race that afternoon. That is why good, consistent, daily training and habits are needed. It takes time to replace a long history of bad habits with good ones. So be patient with yourself and others on the same journey.

The Quiet Time
One of the most important spiritual habits is a daily “quiet time” or “devotional” time.

Have you ever noticed two people in love? They just can't get enough time alone with each other! In the same way, God wants a love relationship with you. A daily quiet time is time you will schedule to meet with Him. Notice that we said schedule, because it is not going to happen by accident. You need to be very deliberate about this. To start, plan on setting aside 30 minutes every day for your devotional time. The amount of time is only a suggestion; don’t get fixated. Remember it is not a formula, but a relationship.

Quiet Time - Learn More

A Method to Consider:
Ask God when He would like you to meet with Him. Write down when you believe He would like you to have your appointment together. ___:___ to ____:____ AM/PM

2-3-2 What is That?
2: Means worship God by listening to TWO Christian worship music songs and/or singing praise to God. Check out some of the member's profiles here on TheNET. Many have uploaded lots of good worship music. Worship is important because God loves it! Worship sets our hearts and minds in tune with God. Remember it is all about a love relationship with Him! Don't skip this step!

3: Means read THREE chapters (or more) of the Bible. Tell God you love Him and ask Him to help you understand, learn from, and speak to you from His Word, the Bible.

If you wish, use this Daily Bible Reading Plan (this will be at least three chapters). The Daily Bible Reading Plan is a PDF file you read, save and print using Adobe Reader. If you don’t have Adobe Reader, you can download it free. You may print the reading plan for quick reference.

You can read the Bible online or use a printed copy. For English users, we recommend the New International Version or the New Living Translation because generally they are easier to read and understand.

Print out the Bible Reading Highlights Record (also a PDF file). Try to answer one or more of the eight questions listed at the top of the page. (You can print additional pages as necessary and keep all your devotional insights in a notebook or folder). You may also want to write what God is teaching you every day in your blog. That way other believers can benefit from what you are learning!

2: Means talk with God, thanking him; and asking him TWO questions about what you read, asking for help for others and yourself or about anything else as you would your closest friend.

OK, so have you scheduled your quiet time with God yet? God is waiting to meet with you!

Growing together with you!

The Spirit intercedes on our behalf, but God is really moved through the power of intercessory prayer. When your brothers and sisters join with you to pray for God's will in your life, it multiplies the power of that prayer.
Col 4:12
12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Col 1:9
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
When Paul observed the church at Colosse, he saw their faith, he saw their love and their hope, yet he noted that they lacked in knowledge of what to do and how to move on in Christ. They were different than the church at Corinth who had a lot of talent and were enriched with knowledge. So Paul began to pray this prayer for them because he knew that ignorance of God's will is a constant source of error and heartache. If your mind is not full of God's will it could be that it is full of things not of God, it could be that there are empty places in your mind that would invite Satan to come and fill. Colosse would go through much tribulation without the knowledge of God's will in their minds, whether it be by their own thinking or by the attack of the enemy, Paul understood that he had to do something about this. He could not stay with them forever, so he did what he could; He prayed, and he invited others to pray with him! God is moved by intercessory prayer! When you find yourself surrounded on every side by the enemy, don't hesitate to ask those who really love you to pray for the knowledge of God's will in your life. God will reveal it to you.
It is one thing to have full knowledge of God's will and another to be filled with knowledge. The scripture gives us knowledge of God's will in a corporate fashion. We know what the will of God is for every man and woman. The scripture also states that God is able to do more than we can even think, therefore His will involves more than our minds can comprehend. Our finite minds cannot handle the full knowledge of God's

Azah...I understand how you feel. My husband and I have always been faithful tithers. And God has blessed us many times. However, there were times when we were not blessed and we suffered financially. Each time it happend we had occurred debt. Tithing does not obsolve us of our responsibility to use well what God entrusts us with. I believe that debts like credit cards and such are not God's will if you cannot pay them off every month. Whenever we have not had debt in our lives...God has filled our storehouses to overflowing. In other words the more God can entrust to you the more He will give to you and the more He will expect from you. This is just what happens in our lives. I don't know your financial circumstances but I hope this helps.

5 WAYS TO KNOW YOU,RE IN GODS WILL WHEN EVERYTHING IS FIGHTING AGAINST YOU.
Part One: prayer is always the fist thing you should do.
There is nothing that can substitute for prayer , simple heartfelt communication with God is the most important key in knowing God ,s will in your life . When it seems like all of Hell is against you and there is nobody to help ,you must prayer like you have never prayed before. Read James 1:5-7
When you pray, pray for Gods will to be revealed in your life. Jesus said to pray , There will be done, if you are praying because of your own desires, you are asking for the wrong things , But when you have reached the place when you are willing to accept Gods will over your own, you have reached turning point in prayer.God will see that you have surrendered your will to his and he begin to reveal his plan to you . lt may not seem like it , but God wants you know his will for your life more than you want to know it yourself. You know to learn to trust that God has your best interest at heart no matter how it might appear at the time Hebrews 4;7-8,,9 that is powerful versa to be thinking about Jesus life , so you can like Jesus . life without Christ is the same like the river without rocks.
When you pray , pray in the spirit. Paul said that will pray for you with groaning that cannot be uttered . God knows what you have need of more than you do. Rom 8:26-27 versa 27 sides that he that searcher the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit. Because he make intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
The spirit intercedes our be half , but God is moved through the power of intercessory prayer. When your brother and sister join with you to pray for God,s will in your life it multiplies the power of that prayer.

Prayer+Choice = anointing, we sometimes make choices as christians without consulting with God but we expect miracles to happen in our lives. The choices we make shapes our relationship with God. I have made choices in my life thinking i was capable and now i know i have no wisdom, capability and insight only my God can supply all my needs.
