accept Jesus Christ then u`ll have a new life so u have no need to worry abt ur past coz when he`ll be in ur life ur whole life will be new so there would b no past only the present to love Jesus n future to wait for ma lord jesus

Some of us to some degree or another have issues from our past that have to be properly dealt with before we can really proceed to walk into the perfect plan of God for our lives. Some Christians are so bound up with some of the things that has happened to them in their past – that they literally cannot get off the couch to start living again, much less ever fully fly into their real calls and destinies for the Lord.
Letting go of your past means trusting the nature of time. You will heal and move on. Your wound will slowly close up and soon only a faint scar will remain - if you let go of your past.

Unfortunately the past moulds us into who we are today. Many Many people have a past that they would rather forget than remember as the pain that stems from the past can be crippeling. It is only through the grace of our Lord and believing in his love that will give us the strength to truely put the past where it belongs and that should be in the past. Leaving the past behind does not happen over night and is a constant battle that requires the supernatural strength of the Holy Spirit, the love of our Lord Jesus and by the Grace of God. By proactively doing and focusing on the Lord and his teachings will the past be put to rest....

I personally do not think that we should live in the past, but i do think that it doesn't hurt to look at the past to reflect on where we were in our life maybe at that time and hopefully see that we are not where we once were... Blessings, Della

Charles some one once said that we need to leave the past in the past and not bring it into the present and ruin your future. This is easier said than done, but we need to tell ourselves that the past does not have to control us now it is over and we can make right choices with God's help so we can have a better life now.

I feel burdened by my past, although reading the Bible and understanding God will forgive us, I can't forgive myself, keeping me gripped in depression, anxiety, desperation and regret, unable to move forward, be happy and enjoy life.

Sharing something so personal is very difficult for me.

sometimes my past hunts me down such that i feel like i can quit salvation but the grace of God has always been so near now with you i can face my future

I love the John 11:25 verse where it says; ...everyone who lives and believes in me... Holding on to the past will keep us from living and believing. Those who are driving through their rear view mirrors will eventually crash.
