God always amazes me how much He loves us and bestow on us love and mercy even we do not deserve it, when we are at our lowest, commiting sins against Him, either by gossiping or hating a christian brother or sister, knowing His command to love one another as He loved us and still be ignorant and not obey. We know the bible says not to judge and for the same judgement we will be judge, yet we do it all the time, ignoring Jesus precious words. The bible says to pray for our leaders that they will do the right thing, yet we do talk sooo bad about our leaders, ignoring God's words. And this goes to every other commandement, Christians and non Christians ignore God and disobey Him all the time. I am amazed at God goodness and mercy, His forgiveness to people. It makes me want to love Him soo much more and shout about His loving kindness.
If not for the grace of God and His forgiveness to people, we would all not have a chance in this life and the life after. Thank God for the blood of Jesus and His Grace on us.
God bless you PoemiaDei and may God wrap His arms around you and keep blessing you with His presence.

God has laid it very heavy deep within my what the most important verse in the entire bible is.

"And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:19)

Now all that one has to do is think very clearly about what you just read. If the world today had the love of Christ, there would be no more lies. No more stealing, no killing, no wars, no destruction, no tortures, no sexual child molesters, no organized crime, no corrupt governments, no more child soldiers that become as obedient killing machines by the time their 12 or even younger. Nor more rapes or women beaters, no more pollution that has been destroying all that our creator created just for our enjoyment and needs through out our lives. And to be filled with the fulness of God just passes all understanding of the glorious life and eternity that awaits you while imagining having the fulness of our great and majestic God working within you to perfect you in His eyes.

Now think again while being very clearly led by the Spirit of God. How much love do you see in your life? In chat rooms, what is truly more than lip service? How many personal and direst words do you get that are so deeply heartfelt, that you know without question that they are from a man of God that really cares? Today in all websites using the names of God, there is no truth, and there is no love, but rather just smooth words on the surface that are only uplifting because they are pleasing to the ear to hear.

I only write because I do genuinely care about you all, and God has finally blessed me after a half century of unhappiness with the eyes to see and understand what many are unknowingly lacking called truth.

Let us read some words of Christ that clearly define the meaning of the word love. And as you read these words, please be well aware that God will know your every thought because nothing is ever hidden from the knowledge of our precious Father that has no beginning, and has no end.

Now if these words of Christ to follow don't strike your heart to the point of self examination and guilt, you are indeed without question one lost unto the left hand of Jesus.

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats; And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer Him , saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we theee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was a hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked , and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (Matt 25:31-46)

Now on the surface are the words, oh, that’s not me on the left because I am saved, so I don’t have to do what Christ says to do.

Let’s look at another verse in Hebrews 5:9 while examining ourselves.

“And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him.”

Now please ask yourself just one honest question. Did God just lie when He inspired Paul by His Spirit to write those words?

By God’s lead, let us also take deep into our hearts the words in 2 Thess. 1:8

“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

In my past I have always been one in heart to give, and it cost me dearly as in the three digits, yet I have come to understand that all things are for a purpose. For the past two years I have lived in the Philippines as an escape from the USA, only to become very close to our Father. And through many very hard times I have done just that. Difficulties as in no food, poor attire, nor even a meal of choice in 27 months now along with no income of my own even with a major employment search for anywhere in the world. But as time passed by without the ability to earn money as a welder or mechanic, my immigration fees went unpaid. At this time I owe very close to 50,000 peso to the Bureau of Immigration. That’s about $1000. For two years now I have been writing letters and emails to pastors, churches, ministers, family, help websites, blogs, prayers and everything in between only to be totally ignored until just a few days ago when God drew me and a brother with a like mind together, and he helped me as best as he could.

Now ask yourself 3 more questions.

1. Do you study to show yourself approved into God?
2. Do you trust God, or man?
3. Do you live by every word of God as He commands?

May God be with you all deep within your hearts that He knows better than you, so that you can be led into the truths of God that Satan hides through mass religious deception. Read Revelation 12:9, and simply believes what God tries to tell you.

All that I have done thus far is scratch the surface with hopes of some friendships, yet with all that God has taught me about love, I expect none at all in this world of lip service that is far from the heart. There is another 708 chapters of the Bible that I would just love to talk about with you, and that is because Satan has deceived you all. . . . .

And with the great tribulation growing nearer each day, that our Father must use as a lesson for a Christ professing people that have eyes to see, and see not, and ears to hear, yet hear not.

A MESSAGE

There was a man who one day got up from his couch and walked out upon his rooftop, and as he was gazing about his human eyes caught vision of a very beautiful and desirous woman that was washing herself. Well, with human nature hard at work within his thoughts, what he really wanted was to just to have sex with her. Now she was a married woman, and her husband was away on the battle field in a war for the kingdom that she lived in. So he sent for her, and she came to him, and once together, they had their private time with sex even though she was committing adultery, and he knew it. Shortly thereafter she informed the man that she was pregnant with his seed. So what happens next is that her husband is sent for with a message saying to return from the war and come to him. The man was king David, the woman was Bath-sheba, and the man was Uriah, her husband. When Uriah came to David as he had requested, David asked him some simple questions regarding the war, and than said to him. . .”go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a mess of meat (a gift from the king). But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house and did not go home. Now David wanting Uriah to lay with his wife and have sex with her to cover his sin attempted again and again to get Uriah home with Bath-sheba, but he would not go for reasons that you can understand by reading with prayer chapter 11 of 2 Samuel. So what was David to do? And how was he going to cover and hide his sin? David wrote a letter saying. “Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.”
Now did you get that? David had sex with the wife of one of his men at war, then he connived a way to cover his tracks by getting her own husband to return from the battle and have sex with her. When that idea failed, he committed premeditated murder by writing a letter that he would himself (Uriah) deliver, only to get himself killed.

Now let’s read an interesting verse in Acts that will be apart of teaching you some very important truths of God.

In Chapter 13, verse 22 the words read “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will.

There is a very powerful lesson for all to learn just from this one of many instances in the Life of David. So what happened next?

After time had passed, and David had no thoughts or sorrows for the awful things that he had done, the Lord sent Nathan unto David to tell him a story.

Now that story was a parable, and perhaps one of the most interesting parables in the Bible. When Nathan came to the unsuspecting David, he began to tell him a seemingly very harmless story about a rich man and a poor man living in the same city. You really need to read this story for yourself in 2 Samuel 1-4 with a prayerful and humble attitude so that God can deeply plant it’s meaning deep within your heart. The man that was telling this short story was living dangerous when he just grabbed a moment to confront the recent past of the most famous king of Israel. The whole plan of God through Nathan was to get inside of David’s mind of self deception and moral blindness and to cut the cords of the demonic powers holding him in blindness. Just as all things that God does, it was done well because David became loud with moral outrage . . . and all that his anger was doing was condemning himself. Nathan then applied the parable to the kings affair with Bathsheba.

If you continue reading you will find David’s repentance, God’s anger, and his punishment. Psalms 51 is also very educational for how our hearts need to be in the eyes of God.

So after all that, why was David still a man after God’s own heart?

Because David had faith!!! Great faith!! Read these words of great meaning in Hebrews 11:6.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him.”

So how had David shown God his true faith? Out of more examples than most even know, let us look at before, up too, and after his show-down with Goliath.

First of all you need to try your best to get a vision of Goliath. Let’s take a gander at the words in 1 Samuel, chapter 17, starting with verse 4.

“And there went a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”

Now a cubit is 1 ft and 5 inches multiplied by six equals 8ft 6 inches. Add to that one span which is about 9 more inches, you have one big bad dude to mess with that stands close to 9 feet and 3 inches tall, and covered with more bras, a shield, coat of mail, a spear and just enough items to make a whole separate writing just on his appearance. The pure fact of the matter is found in verse 24 that says . . .

And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid. Please for yourself read on to verse 31 as we come in verse 32 too just how powerful, deep, and true David’s faith was.

“And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servent will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he is a man of war from his youth. And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his fathers sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.

Now I ask you my brethren, is what David said from his heart not true and genuine faith that we should all pray for? Anyone been walking on the water lately? As personal as these next words may be to me, I feel that by God’s lead I must share them with you.

In my special and deep prayers to God every evening, this is just one of my many prayers after lifting Him most high as creator of all things seen and unseen.

Oh Lord, hear my prayer, and give ear to my supplications, and in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

Please give me more faith than any man has ever had since the creation of mankind. Allow me to walk on the water, heal the sick, touch broken hearts, and too feed multi millions while glorifying you and preaching your message of the world tomorrow and your kingdom to soon come with no more of the hurts and evils in the world that is at this time. And being that you know my heart is fastened on only you as my life’s priority, I humbly ask you to make me one of your two witnesses in Revelation 11 that is willing to give his life only to glorify you.

As far as what we covered on David, there is much to be learned. Satan was around then, and he still is now, and even more evil because he knows that his time left as God of this world is short. Therefore, the more that you love God, and are not as Isaiah writes in 29:13 . . .

“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.”

The more that Satan will brutally attack you, which is why in Ephesians 6 read “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. . . . .

May God Abundantly Bless All Whom Have a Heart After God’s Own Heart. . . .

Your Brother in Christ,

Jeff

My beloved ones, thanks for the discussions. That's what it is all about.

Let me welcome all of you who have joined us in this group recently.

Our purpose as led by the Spirit in this group is to explore together the role of grace in our Christian walk. What I hope is that we can explore grace as presented in the word of God. And since God gives us grace to help us in our need we can trust the word of His grace to impart into our lives the help we need to walk with God as He intends in our Christian lives.

Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. We want to set aside human reasoning and let God speak into our minds and hearts by His pure word as presented in the Bible. It will work wonders and accomplish in us, even in supernatural ways, what God intends it to.

Peter as a human being could not walk on water. No man of himself can do that. traditions, customs, science, the laws of nature and common sense defy that. But Peter believed if the Lord tells him to do so he would have been able to do so. So when the word of the Lord came to Peter to walk on the water, he immediately stepped out the comfort and traditional security of travelling on water in a boat and amazingly he walked on the water. Yes, Peter walked on the water as long he remained focused, not on his ability to do so but on the Lord whose word he had heard and believed.

So as we move on, let us try and listen to the word of God. When we take time and explore the word of God we usually see things we might have never seen and heard before. It's interesting how differently from man's ideas and doctrines the Spirit may present truth in the Bible when we read it for ourselves. Just be humble, look to God for grace to believe what you receive from his word, trust Him to accomplish in you what His word says.

The message of grace is a message of dependence on God. It does not focus on who we are, weak or strong, but on what God can do for us, in us, through us, by giving us grace to help in our need.

God bless you. I am always praying for you.

I think what can happen, when we address different truths, our answers can seem to contradict.

I was coming from the angle of where the Christian thinks he is worthless, and never good enough for God. He is defeated.

As I understand it, you are coming from the angle of the Christian who thinks he is so good that God is privileged to have him. And yes, that is pride!!

But when it comes to sin, as Christians, we no longer have the desire to sin like we used to have. We now hate our sin, and we want to be rid of it.

But if we have a bent towards wanting to sin, wouldn't that mean we're not really saved. That is what I see is being a sinner. That is who we were. We sinned and didn't care about it.

When we were born again, we became new creatures in Christ, but still not perfect. As Paul says in Romans 7, he didn't want to sin, but he did. Trying to deal with sin in our own strength is fruitless. But we can overcome in the strength of the Holy Spirit. It is God who is working in us with our cooperation.

I hope that explains what I was trying to say!

I'm sorry PoemiaDei, for butting in.

The last thing I wanted to do is offend someone, but we don't always agree. So it is good to share, and discuss these things, and do so in love.

Anyhow, as I said, I'd just picked up this book of Neil Anderson's ("Victory over the Darkness"). I read it years ago. It is etched in my memory as one of those books that helped liberate me.

On page 59, he says,
"We don't serve God to gain His acceptance; we are accepted, so we serve God. We don't follow Him in order to be loved; we are loved, so we follow Him.
"That's why you are called to live by faith (Rom. 1:16,17). The essence of the victorious Christian life is believing what is already true about you. Do you have a choice? Of course! Satan will try to convince you that you are an unworthy, unacceptable, sin-sick person who will never amount to anything in God's eyes. Is that who you are? No, you are not! You are a saint whom God has declared righteous. Believing Satan's lie will lock you into a defeated, fruitless life. But believing God's truth about your identity will set you free."

I felt I really needed to share that.

Bless ya!!

Hey Ron! I'm only saying that in love!! I've found it very liberating for me to know who I am in Christ.

Of course, I sin, and we all do. But I don't see that we are sinners any longer. That is not how God sees us. "The old has passed away and the new has come."
Comment by Jeanette B on February 18, 2009 at 2:38am
Ron, Ron, Ron!!

Who are we?

Some would say, "I'm a wretched sinner, saved by grace."
I'm sorry, I see it very differently!! "Wretched sinner" is our OLD name, and our old nature. That is what we WERE.

But what has Christ done?

Hasn't He made us NEW. Aren't we not NEW CREATURES in Christ? If we say we are wretched sinners, that's how we will behave.

I've just picked up a book that was beside me. It is called "Victory over the Darkness" by Neil Anderson. In chapter 2 (page 47), he has a long list of who we are in Christ, according to the NT. Here are a few:

I am a new creation (2 Cor 5:17)
I am a son of God and one in Christ (Gal 3:26, 28)
I am an heir of God since I am a son of God (Gal 4:6,7)
I am a saint (Eph 1:1; 1 Cor 1:2; Phil 1:1; Col 1:2)
I am righteous and holy (Eph 4:24)
I am chosen by God, holy and dearly loved (Col 3:12; 1 Thes 1:4)
I am a son of light and not of darkness (1 Thes 5:5)

That will be enough for now to give you the general idea. I believe that now, that is how God sees us. He no longer condemns us, because we are in Christ. We are HIS!! His beloved kids!! We are His treasure and He loves us dearly.

So if that's how God sees us, shouldn't we see ourselves like that too? He has made us NEW!!

(Sorry, I don't mean to argue with you. I guess this is something I'm very passionate about.)
