Day 27:

Doing the Best You Can

And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him
in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for
them in the inn.
Luke 2:7

Mary no
doubt had planned for her
baby to be born among
family, in a room warm and
welcoming. Joseph, too,
thought he would be able to
provide well for this holy
child. Instead, they found
themselves in a far-away
city with no shelter or
friends. What to do? The
best they could with what
they had: a stable, a
manger, a length of
swaddling cloth. It was
enough. When we do what we
can and leave the rest to
God, it is always
enough.MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MAY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER GRANT US ALL A MOST BLESSED NEW YEAR

Day 11: Seeing the Unseen

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:

Vision. That’s what faith is all about—vision to see beyond the bleakness that surrounds us to the brightness of better days; vision to see the possibilities, not just the problems, in people. Vision to believe…and wait. If you are struggling with an “unanswered” prayer, take heart. Visualize the answer you’re praying for. See God bending toward you in love. Then believe that he is working on your behalf—because he is.

Victory Over Your P-R-O-B-L-E-M-S

The next time your problems seem to be piling up on you, remember this simple acrostic:
- Positive attitudes are basic in solving any problem. Nix the negative thoughts; visualize a solution to your troubles. Make it happen!
- Release the power within you. Refuse to let your problems confuse or depress you. Remember that God is all-powerful and that you are his child. Repeat his promise: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
- Open your mind to opportunity. Often a problem contains the seeds of growth, of a great leap forward. Look for the “up side” of adversity.
- Believe. Repeat to yourself (and trust!) these great promises of the Bible:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you” (Isaiah 43:2).
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble” (Psalm 9:9).
- Let go and let God work. When we learn to release our problems into the hands of God, he brings about surprising solutions. He promises: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
- Expect great things. When we trust God completely, our faith becomes an open channel for his power. Pray with the clear expectation that God will provide the best possible solution to your problem.
- Make the most of your situation. Analyze your difficulty as unemotionally as possible and look for the best way to handle it. Then move ahead. Sometimes you must step forward in faith before the solution to your problem arrives.

-
Summon the strength to succeed. Success is primarily a spiritual process, the process of developing a mature personality through which you can accomplish your highest objective with the help of God.

For Your Own Sake

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins”
(Matthew 6:14–15, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

In life, we all have unfair things that happen to us. We can choose to hold on to the hurt, become bitter and angry, and let it poison our future; or, we can choose to let it go and trust God to make it up to us. You not think that you are able to forgive because someone hurt you so badly. You might say, “Joel, you don’t know how I was raised.” “My ex-spouse caused me a lot of pain.” “This friend betrayed me.” “I just can’t let it go.” But realize, you don’t forgive for their sake; you forgive for your own sake. When you forgive, you are taking away their power to hurt you. But if you hold on to that offense and stay angry, you are only poisoning your own life and disconnecting yourself from God.

Forgiveness is like a door on your heart. If you shut the door and refuse to forgive, then God cannot forgive you. But when you open the door and allow forgiveness to flow from you, then His forgiveness can flow into you. Choose to forgive and open the door to receive God’s life, peace and healing today.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for the gift of forgiveness that sets me free. Help me to truly understand what it means to forgive so I can receive Your forgiveness. Search me today and have Your way in my heart. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Our GOD is a “SUPER NATURAL BEING”. He does super natural things to glorify His name. He makes the impossible, possible; the unthinkable a reality; restores the condemned; ultimately, He saves the Lost and brings back home, the wandering.
Indeed, He is GREAT; and the many accolades given to Him all attest to this. But ever wondered how he makes these happen? Take a trip with me through the BIBLE and you will know He is SUPER indeed.
If Moses the young exuberant Prince of Egypt had led his kinsmen the Hebrews, out of bondage in Egypt, it would have been normal. After all, don’t people revolt all the time? Perhaps the only surprise would have been that, he had turned his back on the very people who had made him who he was. But God chose Moses the old man at a ripe age of 80yrs to do the job. Moses, who had left all riches to become a shepherd in the wilderness for 40 yrs. Moses who had tasted ordinary life, had no weapon except a rod to demand for the release of His people. Can you imagine the shock on Pharaoh’s face when Moses burst into His palace to make such a demand? The power that led Moses to the palace rendered Pharaoh helpless; so he couldn’t throw him out, but rather had the Patience to listen to him.
Again, if Goliath the much feared Philistine giant had killed David the little shepherd boy, no news. But the reversed occurred throwing the whole of Israel into a state of frenzy and ecstasy- the super natural had occurred.
Joseph the slave boy becomes the Prime Minister of Egypt. Impossible; but it happened even though there were better qualified persons in Egypt.
Gideon the ordinary man from the least tribe is appointed by God to lead his people to the Promised Land – news.
A virgin girl Mary conceives by the power of the Holy Ghost to deliver not just an ordinary man, but the Messiah, the SAVIOUR of the world.
Paul the persecutor of the Christians becomes an Apostle for God, delighting so much in working for GOD.
Our God is really the SUPER NATURAL GOD.
If you think nothing good can come out of you, you are mistaken. We have a God who works miracles and when you think all is lost, He will show you that He is the ruler of the universe.
Only BELIEVE and put your Trust in Him; He will turn things around for you, and make you a TESTIMONY.
