DOERS OF THE WORD OF GOD

To have confidence in God, we need to be convinced of the following truths -

GOD IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS
NO WORD OF GOD CAN FAIL TO ACCOMPLISH HIS PURPOSE

Acting on the Word: Matt. 7: 24-28
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house: and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And everyone that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew, and beat upon that house: and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine: For He taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.”

The problem of believing is made simple when we know that it is acting on what God has said makes you a wise builder. Adam and Eve failed their test in the Garden of Eden. JESUS CHRIST DID NOT FAIL TO DO HIS FATHER’S WILL AND THROUGH HIM WE ARE RECONCILED BACK TO GOD!

The difference between these two builders that Jesus spoke about was in their actions after hearing instructions!
Jesus ended His SERMON ON THE MOUNT, as it has been termed, with this warning to the disobedient hearer of His instructions!
The Instructions and warnings that Jesus preached in chapters 5, 6 and 7 would finally result in the wise builder or the foolish builder!
There is no provision made for a third road, for Jesus spoke of two roads – one that leads to life and the other to destruction.
There is a choice to be made by the hearers – which road to take and the final destiny depends on being wise or foolish about doing the will of God, the Father.
Reading/hearing the Word of God and doing it is the wise builder.
What category do you belong to? There is time for change today if you have not been following Instructions of the One Who called you to follow Him!!
Be a Father pleaser like Jesus!!
Let us not deceive ourselves as James 1: 22-25 says –
“But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural
face in a glass; For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and straightway he forgets what manner of man he was. But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the word, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Both the builders were exposed to the storms of life but only the wise builder survived while the foolish builder failed utterly.
The doer of the Word of God will inherit eternal life but the one who hears but does not obey the Word will be lost forever!


Verses 21-23 shows us that it is not all who say, Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of the Father which is in heaven.
It also shows us that not prophesying in His Name, or casting out devils in His Name or doing wonderful works in His Name will get us into heaven!!
Many a Christian gets distracted from following the Lord Jesus Christ by striving to do these works thinking that this is what the Father wants done.
They are led to believe that this is the greatest achievement in the Christian life and that it will please the Father – but is it what the Father wants you to do?
Jesus said we must be born-again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Be His witness in your home, where you work, in the Church, in your neighborhood and
lead them to the Lord.
Sow the good seed (the Word of God) in the morning, at noon and in the evening and God will give the increase.
Let your light shine so people will see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Use His Name to heal the sick, cast out devils, etc. along your Christian pathway for the Lord will confirm His Word when you act on His Word.
Submit always to the will of God whatever you do or plan and for the glory of God.
Enter your closet and pray in secret to your heavenly Father and He will reward you openly.
Fast and pray regularly to further the kingdom works.
Tithe in obedience to His Word and He will prosper you like He said.
Feed on the Word of God and become a bold witness for the Lord.
Abide in the True Vine and you will bear fruit for the glory of God.
Be faithful unto death and receive a crown of life.
What God said will come to pass and what He promised will happen
God cannot lie for He is not a man; hath He said and shall He not do it?
We are in the Palm of His Hand and none can pluck us out.
Our times are in His Hands and He is able to do more than we could ask or think.
OUR GOD NEITHER SLUMBERS NOR SLEEPS
OUR GOD IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER!
GOD IS IN CONTROL OF HIS CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.
GOD IS AT WORK IN AND THROUGH HIS CHILDREN
Be wise by being a doer of the will of God and inherit eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Follow the Book of Instructions – the Bible, and be born-again!
