So wonderful to always remember we are not alone, especially in our times of distress. Thank you for your message Alcedes.

Today's Bible Verse:

Isaiah 40:29
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (NIV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: When You Are Weak

Often in life we feel we just can't take any more. Can you remember a time when you felt that way? And somehow, you're still here. That's because our God is a Helper to the downtrodden. Jesus Christ never meant for us to live the Christian life separated from heavenly power. He sent the Holy Spirit to strengthen us when we stumble, but his power is useless unless it is tapped into. Draw on the Holy Spirit's life-giving energy when you are weak. God is eager to supply what you need to persevere.

Psalms 1:1-3
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. Nor stand in the path of sinners. Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, and prospers.

We are one with God, living our lives in Him. He is always there with us, and as true believers we obey Him.

Ephesians 4 :1-7
New American Standard Bible
Unity of the Spirit

1Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

7But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

John 14 :1-15
New American Standard Bible
Jesus Comforts His Disciples

1“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4“And you know the way where I am going.” 5Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Oneness with the Father

7“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”

8Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14“If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

15“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Colossians 2:13-15
13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgresssions,
14 having cancelled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
Christians have a new self. God has crucified the old rebellious nature, and replaced it with a new loving nature. The penalty of sin died with Christ on the cross. God has declared us not guilty, and we no longer live under sin's power. We will still feel like sinning, and sometimes we will sin. The difference is that before we were saved, we were slaves to our sinful nature, but now we are free to live for Christ.
Galations 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

We have eternal life because of God's sacrifice of His only Son. How blessed we are to be given this wonderful gift.
We as humans do tend to worry, and forget to give our burdens to the Lord. He will always carry our weights in our lives. Praise God in the highest. Have faith in Him always.
Thank you so much for your message Alcedes, and the inspiring verses.

Today's Bible Verse:

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (ESV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Unconditional Love

This oft quoted Bible verse is the central message of the gospel. It's also the definition of unconditional love. Jesus declared his love here in John 3:16, but he also demonstrated it with his life. Human love can only reach so far, but God's love extends to every person. It's perfect, undying, eternal love. And the best part ... it's ours to receive and enjoy through faith in Jesus Christ.

It’s Only Temporary
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all”
(2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Aren’t you glad that your troubles and trials are only temporary? In fact, today’s verse tells us they are momentary. Compared with eternity, our troubles don’t last long at all! As you stand strong in faith during times of adversity, scripture says that you are achieving eternal glory. When you confess your trust and reliance on God, you are passing the test.

If you are in the middle of tough times today, look to Jesus! The Bible says that He is the Author and Finisher of your faith. He is the one who writes faith on your heart and then develops it to completion on the inside of you. Your part is to open your heart and choose words of faith and victory.

Remember, your words set the course for your life. As you remind yourself that your troubles are only momentary and confess your trust and hope in Him, you will see His hand moving in your life. Focus on that eternal glory every day. As you do, you’ll move forward in victory and experience all He has for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for working Your eternal glory in me. I cast my cares on You, knowing that my trials and troubles are only temporary. Thank You for Your eternal blessing on my life today and always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
