It is so hard at times when we are going through trials. We need to remember God is with us always in times of happiness, and times of troubles. We learn from our hardships. Praise the Lord. Thank you Elaine for your wonderful post.
Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
vs 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses al comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Paul's advice is to turn our worries into prayers. Do you want to worry less? Then pray more! Whenever you start to worry, stop and pray.
True peace comes from knowing that God is in control. Our citizenship in Christ's kingdom is sure, our destiny is set, and we can have voctory over sin. Let God's peace guard your heart against anxiety.
Thank you my bro and sis in Christ for the wonderful and powerful posts. Amen:)
John 15:16
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you." (ESV)
If you ever start to think you don't matter much to God, consider this: Jesus chose you! He hand-picked and appointed you for a mission—to produce enduring fruit.
In God's eyes, you are highly significant. Not only are you the Lord's servant, you are his personally chosen friend and partner in ministry. For this reason, whatever you ask of the Father in Jesus' name, he will give it to you. Because the Lord choseyou to cooperate with him in fulfilling the Father's will on earth.
Ephesians 6:12 (NIV). For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms....... Thoughts on This Verse... The battle we face is not just a physical one. Instead, it is a spiritual battle with powers that we do not easily see and which are very powerful. We shouldn't dismiss this as an imaginary battle or as an irrelevant struggle. Just as clearly as Satan was crouching at Cain's door, desiring to have him, so he crouches at our door (Gen. 4:7). He will use his forces of evil to do all he can to defeat, destroy, or corrupt us. We must take this war seriously and recognize the spiritual power of our foe.
Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
vs 3 For You have been a refuge for me.
A tower of strength against the enemy.
Even when we are among unknown people and surroundings, God never abandons us. A "higher" rock would be a plain of refuge and safely. God's all-surpassing strength is always with us.
We are here praying for one another with God's blessings. Hallelujah:)
It is wonderful to be still and peaceful. I many times go on my computer, and visit all my friends here in the Lord, and other sites. We learn and teach others. You are a beautiful and precious friend Elaine, and I am so blessed to have all here in fellowship with our almighty powerful GodXO
Blast the trumpets and sing His praises. Thank you for the wonderful post Alcedes. I understand Elaine. Thanks:)
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.—2 Corinthians 9:15.
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.—For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
He . . . spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all.—Having yet . . . one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him.
Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!—Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Psa.100:1,2,4. -Isa.9:6.Rom.8:32. -Mark 12:6.Psa.107:21. -Psa.103:1.Luke 1:46,47.
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.
The uncontrolled tongue can do terrible damage. Satan uses the tongue to divide people and pit them against one another. Idle and hateful words are damaging because they spread destruction quickly, and no one can stop the results once they are spoken. We dare not be careless with what we say, thinking we can apologize later, because even if we do, the scars remain. A few words spoken in anger can destroy a relationship that took years to build. Before you speak, remember that words are like fire, you can neither control nor reverse the damage they can do.
