Jesus shall save HIS people. All who accept and follow HIM. From their sins. Not a temporal salvation, but from the curse of sin, condemnation and banishment from God's favor and heaven. ....Thank YOU LORD JESUS for your great salvation to all of us.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
-1 Corinthians 15:10
We came out of nothing; and if we are anything, it is because God is everything. If He were to withhold His power for one brief instant from us, if He were to hold in check the breath of life for one moment, our physical existence would shrivel into nothingness, and our souls would be whisked away into an endless eternity. Those who are poor in spirit recognize their creatureliness and their sinfulness—but more, they are ready to confess their sins and renounce them.
Lord, thank you for your awesome, powerful love and our fellowship together in the Word!
Thank you for the wonderful and inspirational posts:)
Philippians 3:7-8 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. vs8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ.
Be careful of considering past achievements so important that they get in the way of your relationship with Christ.
After Paul considered everything he had accomplished in his life, he said that it was all "rubbish" when compared with the greatness of knowing Christ. A person's relationship with Christ is more important than anything else. To know Christ should be our ultimate goal. Consider your values. Do you place anything above your relationship with Christ? If your priorities are wrong, how will you reorder them?
Ephesians 2:4-5
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
God doesn’t love us because of who we are, or because of our accomplishments. He doesn’t even love us because we love Him. He just loves us because He loves us! He made us, He knows everything about us, and yet He loves us so!
When we are secure in His love, we know that He is going to cause everything to work together for our good, because He is in control of every detail and His hand on our lives is so perfectly loving.
Believe His love, accept it by faith, and love Him in return.
Powerful and inspiring post
Praise the Lord for our fellowship and the sharing of His Word.
“Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Thanksgiving is given through Jesus for everything (Col. 3:15,17). Paul believed followers of Jesus could be thankful for everything because God is sovereign, and He is working things out for the believers’ good (1 Thess. 5:18).
May we intentionally be aware of God’s gifts all around us, and respond with gratitude. In response to God’s gifts, it’s natural to say, “Thank You, Lord.”
