In faith we know.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Thankfully it is by grace (a free, unmerited gift) that we are saved but it is not a faith that is alone but a faith that produces works. It is not a salvation of works but a salvation that has as its by-product works. We are saved by faith and that faith is in Jesus Christ.

Comment by Ruth McD on February 15, 2015 at 1:00pm: Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Once you fear the Lord, it is the beginning of all knowledge, wanting to speak it. We want to please God, not man. It's a respecting and revering fear. Please Jesus out of love.

As we read through v. 31, Wisdom continues this truth. The Lord created Wisdom! Let us meditate and gain Knowledge and Understanding. God made Wisdom then operated through His creation. Let us yield to Him, allow humility to work in us, and take Wisdoms example. Jesus be Glorified through us!!!
