I'm excited to become a member of "The Fruit of the Spirit" group. I like the comment from Larry M.  regarding manifesting the fruits of the spirit. I believe in the Lord as personal Savior and have faith in Him. In know I need to surrender, submit, and yield to the Holy Spirit. I have done this many times and have prayed about it often. I know it is Lord's strength that these Fruits are demonstrated. I'm not sure why I have struggled exemplifying the Fruits. It is my desire to honor and glorify God by my words and action. It is my heart's desire for others to see Christ in me. How do I let God lead, guide, and direct me to be and show others the Christian he called me to be? Thanks for your counsel. I believe the word, in Psalms 32:8- I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go. I will counsel you and watch over you.

O that we may earnestly covet the gifts. 1Cor.13:31 Gr.zelos.Eager rivalry;strong passion for a thing.Compare with Acts 5:17. May the Spirit bless you with insight and knowledge.Amen!

Nine fruits of the spirit that should manifest in every true christians. Not five but nine fruits. Everything is a process, not to use our own strength but the strength from our gracious and loving Lord and personal savior. Submission is crucial to every sowing, growth and reaping. i called this passage a "christian barometer". what are the difference and changes between the old and new creature ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ). "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

To walk on the road along with our master taking our cross and walking with love in our hearts is beyond understanding. It is only by the power of Holy Spirit that we will be led. I would have to agrre with you Melecia, as for me I struggle mostly with anger, i get easily angered, i would feel the rage rising within me, please pray with me, for self control.

It is easy for us to speak about the fruits of the Spirit but do we apply it to our daily life. I think many christians will agree with me that there are always one or even two of them that you find difficult to apply.

This is a discussion to be pondered upon too well. The fruit of the Spirit is the expression of a life that is dead to sin. The key to other fruit bearing of the same Spirit is Love, which is the paramount. God deals with people that loves Him. Others have their link from the root, Love.
