This is a great chapter in Isaiah in which God revealed to Isaiah the events of Jesus' sacrifice for us. Isn't it wonderful that all those hundreds of years ago God was already thinking of us and His plan for our salvation was already in place?
My favourite from the chapter is verse 10
"Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief; when Thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed....."
Even though God had to crucify His only Son, He had us in mind and knew that the sorrow would soon be exchanged for joy as more and more of us become redeemed by His love and blood which was shed for us. God trully is great!
