Katherine I am so glad the movies have ministered to you. I thank God for those who have produced these films. I saw Angus for the first time a couple of years ago when he was holding a huge meeting in a stadium in South Africa that was on God TV online that I saw. Ramona our dear friend attended the meeting and said it was a historical gathering. He is a fiery older man now with the same passion as portrayed in the movie.

I like the fact that God uses normal every day people to do great things.

Thank You Dear Bob for inviting me; I just watched through the entire movie yesterday; Brother Mario Apalit (pastor) from the Phillipines sent it to me, and it was so gripping, I couldnt stop watching till the end!

And yes that farmer had complete faith in the Father to heal, the Faith of a mustard seed; and the innocent trust of a child in a Father to take care of all needs, and fix all problems in real time, not limiting the Fathers works as in the fire, and I also saw that when he needed to trust in the Father when his nephew fell from the tractor, that he let his love and grief take over, he was too overcome with grief that he blamed himself, instead of trusting that the Father could overcome the accident; we as His children sometimes do this also, we let the physical obstacles and problems(accidents) overwhelm us at times, and we limit Gods will to our own resignation sometimes in pity instaed of having the faith of a mustard seed or as in potatoes in this movies case.
When he recovered, God sent him and the childs father a Dream message that the child was happy in heaven.One of the most touching acts of Love the Father can send us, and strengthen our frail faith.

I just saw the film "End of the Spear" again and it was very moving. I love that film. I had heard of the four men, especially Jim Elliot, who went on that trip and were killed many years ago. But the movie really brings it home.

That is right, it was about Nate Saint, I saw the movie quite awhile ago, was it him who saw the heavens open and the angels? I know that his son did return and baptized the man who killed his father. It was a very touching film, if I get a chance I will see it again. Thanks for letting me know, I forgot that the film was written by Nate Saint's son. God bless.

Jackie, this movie was about Nate Saints one of the other missionaries, from the perspective of his son. It also gave a ton of information about why they were speared. The tribal people also saw angels at the spearing.

The part of the movie that was so touching was when many years later after the whole tribe had been saved; the head of the tribe brought Nate's son back to the beach and told him that it was him who speared his father. It was a powerful example of forgiveness and restoration.

I saw the Movie about Jim Elliot a number of years ago. I thought that was the name of it! It is a beautiful movie, at the end he saw the heavens open, it is an amazing testimony on the part of the men involved as well as Elizabeth Elliot, and the later testimony of her love and her son's love of the natives, who turned to Christ. Great movie, I may watch it again.

Cyrone I am not a crier, but I could not stop crying through both of these movies. There was such a confirmation in my own heart about the things God has been speaking to me about. I desire to have a radical faith in God and step out of the boat and walk on the water with Jesus, just like Angus did, and also the missionaries reaching out to those who needed salvation in End Of spear.

Jim Elliot who was one of the missionaries who died on that beach said; "He is no fool who gives what he can not keep to gain what he can never loose."

My pray is that God will raise up men and woman of God all over the world who will dare to trust in the Lord for great things and bring many souls into God's family. Until the whole world hears.
