WHERE ARE THE PRAISES?

Something I have always wondered about is why, when one sees sites where there are praise and prayer reports posted, or in church, when there are prayer and praise reports shared, why is there never any praises?

We might think that no one would be interested in our praises but I think it is to the contrary. WE all should be glad to hear what God is doing in the life of a Christian.

God has been so good to me that I truly don't know where to start. He is continually answering my prayers as I request something from Him. 

The biggest tragedy in my life this last year is the passing of my beloved husband on Dec 15, 2010 after a very short bout with cancer (37 days). Many of you have read how Danny's memorial service was truly a celebration of his life with both laughter and tears. Laughter to the joy he brought to others and tears because his work was done. God blessed me in being able to deal with it, rarely shedding tears for my love who had gone home. God blessed me with the knowledge that my beloved was with Him and I would see him again one day. He allowed me to see Danny one last time, several weeks after his passing. God has flooded me with a peace that passes all understanding. God has kept me occupied with things that keep my mind focused on Him instead of what I lost.

God has directed me to lost articles, especially a lost document that was in the trash and ready to be disposed of. Right on the top as it happened.

He guides me to lost keys and other misplaced items. He blesses me with phone calls from my children at all the right times, one child calling after the other.

He has blessed me with a couple close friends that I can really talk to about Him. Regardless of the help my children might need financially, He makes sure that I always have enough money to take care of my obligations, and that there is always plenty for food for a large group if they happen to be at my home at supper which is nearly every night.

He has strengthened me to overcome cancer 4 times in my lifetime, even when I wasn't walking with Him. He explains things to me that I can't understand on my own. He is patient and kind to me when I don't actually deserve it, and He calls people to my mind when they a desperate for prayer so I might speak for them.

I could go on like this for awhile but I want to give you all a chance to count your blessings and be kind enough to share them.

When people hear nothing but woes, they are inclined to think there is nothing that God does for us. I think we need to show them how wrong that thinking is.
