THE PRAYER OF FAITH

Then follow the words of the text: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours... is one of my favorite verses in the Bible and I'm holding this one of God's promises to us!!!!

Our Savior was desirous of giving His disciples instructions respecting the nature and power of prayer, and the necessity of strong faith in God. He therefore stated a very strong case, a miracle--one so great as the removal of a mountain into the sea. And He tells them, that if they exercise a proper faith in God, they might do such things. But His remarks are not to be limited to faith merely in regard to working miracles, for he goes on to say:

"And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses" (25, 26).

Does that relate to miracles? When you pray, you must forgive. Is that required only when a man wishes to work a miracle? There are many other promises in the Bible nearly related to this, and speaking nearly the same language, which have been all disposed of in this way, as referring to the faith employed in miracles.

Many times prayer does not yield the desired results we yearn for. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12). Hope precedes all prayer, but only when the answer comes do we recognize the difference that Faith makes in praying. "But when the desire cometh, it is a Tree of Life" (13:12). When God's will makes contact with our hope, Faith is established and grace races down the lightning rod of experience. Faith is the way you use God's grace. It's our part to exercise the Faith God authors, but its God's part to finish it.

The "Prayer of Faith" is prayer that ALWAYS GETS ANSWERED. If the "Prayer of Faith" is for the sick, "the LORD shall raise" the sick up. If the "Prayer of Faith" is Godly repentance, then sins "shall be forgiven".
The reason that the "Prayer of Faith" always gets answered is because of the very nature of Faith. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). "Faith is... substance" and "evidence". Faith can't be held in the hand, or gazed upon with the eye, but Faith in God and His character is MORE real than anything your bodily senses can physically verify. Faith based in the Word of God is as realistic as "substance" and "evidence" gets. Nothing in this world is more real. Therefore, Faith always produces fruit and the "Prayer of Faith" always gets answered. Faith IS ALWAYS SUBSTANCE!
Since the "Prayer of Faith" is always answered, IT MUST ALWAYS BE ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL.

In Colossians 4:12 "Always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God."

In Hebrews 10:36 "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the Promise."

In Romans 8:27 "the Spirit... maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

Since the above points are absolutes, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS to them. For the "Prayer of Faith" to be the "Prayer of Faith", these elements must be present.

The "Prayer of Faith":

1. ALWAYS GETS ANSWERED

2. IS ALWAYS SUBSTANCE

3. MUST ALWAYS BE ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL

4. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS

Prayer based on Faith is very important. However Faith in GOD means that HE knows the best for us and controls everything. We have to forgive because it is the Divine rule which HE has commanded us to do.Some time back I heard a priest preaching on forgivness. He said that a person asked him Many have advised others to forgive so what is so special in the Christian forgivness.Medical people ask their patients to forgive for beter healing, others ask it forgive because their opponents are stronger and so on.The Priest replied that CHRISTIANN forgivness is always based on the fact that we all are sinners and need forgivness from GOD and so we have to forgive each other. The other fact is that when we forgive others we are truly called the children of GOD
