BUILDING A SURE FOUNDATION FOR CHRISTIAN GROWTH

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free(John 8:32)

You have the truth revealed in the Bible which is the word of God

This is the foundation we build our Christian life upon.
Just like any building project we have to start with a foundation.
If we build our foundation upon the rock of truth we will not be moved
When we are assaulted by storms of doubt, and winds of persecution.
We won’t be moved because we have a foundation of truth.

It all starts with the truth concerning salvation Roman 8:8-13
8 Salvation that comes from trusting Christ--which is the message we preach--is already within easy reach. In fact, the Scriptures say, "The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart."
9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
11 As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.
12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They all have the same Lord, who generously gives his riches to all who ask for them.
13 For "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

My hope that this group will be a place where you can discover truth so you can grow and mature in your new found faith and that you will be rooted and grounded in that truth.

Eph 2-8-10 Paul tells us that our good works won’t save us, we can never be good enough to be saved.
We are all sinners and we need a savior and I want to let you know that through trusting in Jesus and what He has done, you can be saved, spiritually born again, and become a part of Gods family.

Pray and ask God to forgive you and receive the gift of salvation provided for you. Invite Jesus into your life and give control of your life to the Holy Spirit. God is no respecter of persons and His word promises that whoever calls upon the Lord will be saved.

some people may seem to be closed to God's word. However,when you take God's word and contextualize it, you will be surprised at how well it is received. you can share love ,wisdom and joy with them through encouragement -the power of God's eternal truths will speak into their lives."pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones"(proverbs 16:24), keep nourishing their and see them come to God.

Father answer this your sons prayer for healing for his wife and that health and healing would be poured out in his local, in Jesus name amen

This is what the foundation stone of forgiveness is all about. Living a life free from offense is to live a life of forgiveness.

I do pray for you and your needs that God will give you wisdom and provide all your needs as you seek Him first and make Him your priority.

We can find so much in the Word Of God that encourages us in our trust of the Lords provision in our life. As you start to learn about faith, about prayer, then we can learn how to see our needs met.

This is why it is important to grow in our knowledge of the truth revealed through the Word of God, so we do not get led astray by false doctrines and systems created by the enemy to hinder faith and trust in the Lord.

I pray that God will give you wisdom to deal with your daughters school. One time when my daughter was in grade school a teacher started teaching this stuff called slam poetry which was evil to say the least. We went to the school with all our information to the principle and she closed the class down. Here we pay taxes for school so we do have a voice in the schools some what.

Comment by mary jamieson on February 19, 2010 at 4:06am: hi bob my 6 yr old came home from school with an invataion to join the 2010 Baga,is Special Religious Education Classes THE PEACE PACK, I KNOW and all those born of the SPIRIT OF GOD KNOW .that this is not the way to the lord it might encourage the children to be kind but it is very misleading for them and the adults who are finding there way or who have lost their way could you pray and ask the group for some back up prayers for me as i try to stand on what i believe at this time love again in our lord jesus . all is well with my soul mary
