All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Loss can touch our lives at any time, and sometimes it can be devastating. We can be assured that God is right there with us, in whatever pain we are currently experiencing, helping us to cope with it, and in time, allowing healing to come to our hearts & minds.

Loss of any kind is always painful, and we can be assured that we are never alone in our pain, as others have and will experience loss as well, at some point in their lives. Never feel that you are alone in your suffering, others are right where you are.

God brings hope, for the wounded soul, as he comes along side us,
to comfort us in our grief, to remind us that we are loved, no matter what we feel at the moment, allowing us to feel the pain, and find ways of working thru it.

Ecc. chapter 3, reminds us that suffering is eneivitable in this fallen world that we live in. There will be times of suffering, yet, we can experience these times, and not be crushed. All that have come before us have went down the same path, because that is what life is, a series of experiences, some good, others not so good, yet, we can learn from all of them, if we will ourselves to do so.

Keeping our hearts and minds stayed upon the Christ in whom we have trusted, will sustain us in the bad times, will hold our hand, so that we know we are loved, even though it may not feel like it at the moment.

All thru Gods holy word, we see pain, and suffering, and death, yet,
we also see lives that have triumphed over all of this, and gone on to be mightly used by God.

God shows us in the loaves and the fishes that he never looses a crumb, in fact, in his hands, the crumbs multiply. Think of the parable of the 5000, and how he started out with
5 loaves and two fishes, and as he blessed it, God caused it to multiply, to the extent that all that were there that day, were fed, and afterwards, 12 basketfulls were gathered of the leftovers.

To us this is utterly impossible, but, Gods word declares that to him,
all things are possible, and he gives us examples to show us what he can do, if we will only trust in him.

Sometimes our pain seems to crush us, but, we can take comfort in knowing that God will not allow it to do that, it only seems that way, for a time.

If you are hurting now, rest in Jesus, knowing that he is aware of everything that you are going thru, that he cares very much for your wellbeing, and that he is more than able to bring good things from everything that we experience, if we will continue to look to him.

He is there with us during the broken times of our lives, watching over us, and never allowing more than we can bear, to come to us,
with everything he will work, if we will keep our eyes upon him.

Times of refreshing will come, trust the process, he can and will bring us thru. Nothing is happening to us, that has not happened before, or that will not happen in the future. As Corrie Ten Boom stated, "Our times are in his hands, ".

Rest in him beloved.... he is there, and he cares what you are going thru. allow him to comfort you, and to carry you, when you feel you can no longer stand, lay back in those everlasting arms, and let his love flow to you, filliing every crack and crevice, melting resistance, healing the woundedness that is within.

Be gentle with yourself,
let love encompass you, breathe in his goodness, surround yourself with light, and love, let it permeate your very being. Times of refreshing will come, nothing lasts forever in this world, and for that we can be greatful.

Sickness will pass, brokeness will pass, woundedness will heal, time stands still for no man, things move forward, we move forward,
pressing on, and pressing in, when we are able, looking to him, the author and finisher of our faith, to sustain us, for the journey, that is ours, on this road of life.

Without the bad times, we might not appreciate the good times, when they come, without the heartaches and pain, we experience, we might not be able to fully appreciate the life that we have been given. As strange as it seems, the pain does have a place within us, as it would not be fair to those who have come before, if we were exempt.

God gave me a poem one time, and one of the lines read:
"Tarry here a little longer, while I create within you , a heart that is
able to contain all that I have for you."

Sorrow has a way of enlarging our hearts, causing them to expand,
allowing us to better understand the suffering that others have experienced, giving us more empathy for ones who are in pain, helping us to see and experience Gods love, in a better and more profound way, seeing his faithfulness.

When we come out on the other side of our trials, and we will, life will have new meaning, and we will learn to value the moment, to cherish the things that are good, and to quickly discard the things that are not. Always looking to our Savior, and our Friend...... our soon coming King. Trusting in his goodness, and his faithfulness, and his ability to bring healing to any area of our lives, that has been broken.

Tears may endure for the moment, but, joy cometh in the morning.

Psalm 139 is such a comfort to me;
GOD'S WORD ® Translation
1 For the choir director; a psalm by David. O LORD, you have examined me, and you know me.
2 You alone know when I sit down and when I get up. You read my thoughts from far away.

3 You watch me when I travel and when I rest. You are familiar with all my ways.

4 Even before there is a single word on my tongue, you know all about it, LORD.

5 You are all around me-in front of me and in back of me. You lay your hand on me.

6 Such knowledge is beyond my grasp. It is so high I cannot reach it.

7 Where can I go to get away from your Spirit? Where can I run to get away from you?

8 If I go up to heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in hell, you are there.

9 If I climb upward on the rays of the morning sun or land on the most distant shore of the sea where the sun sets,

10 even there your hand would guide me and your right hand would hold on to me.

11 If I say, "Let the darkness hide me and let the light around me turn into night,"

12 even the darkness is not too dark for you. Night is as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.

13 You alone created my inner being. You knitted me together inside my mother.

14 I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this.

15 My bones were not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, when I was being skillfully woven in an underground workshop.

16 Your eyes saw me when I was only a fetus. Every day of my life was recorded in your book before one of them had taken place.

17 How precious are your thoughts concerning me, O God! How vast in number they are!

18 If I try to count them, there would be more of them than there are grains of sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.

19 I wish that you would kill wicked people, O God, and that bloodthirsty people would leave me alone.

20 They say wicked things about you. Your enemies misuse your name.

21 Shouldn't I hate those who hate you, O LORD? Shouldn't I be disgusted with those who attack you?

22 I hate them with all my heart. They have become my enemies.

23 Examine me, O God, and know my mind. Test me, and know my thoughts.

24 See whether I am on an evil path. Then lead me on the everlasting path.

Loss is part of life and God will help us to deal with it if we will allow him to walk with us through it. When Jesus cried because of Mary's grief over her brother dying knowing he was going to raise him from the dead spoke so much to us about how He can understand and grieves with us in our losses.

In the love of Jesus

Dealing with loss has a lot to do with surrender and trust
Surrender is not so hard, leaving it there, and not picking it up again, is where I falter.Thank you for the lovely song.
Yes surrender is something we need to do all the time. We are not giving up, but giving it to the Lord. We are making a choice to place our situation into God's control. In Psalm 107 there is a verse that says that there was a storm that some merchants found themselves in, it describes the wave lifting them to the heights and then dropping them to the depths. then it says they got to their wits end. Wits end is the place of surrender, where we have exhausted all our resources. It is the the time to cry out to the Lord for intervention. Then we can give him praise for bringing us through the storm.

thank you for this wonderful encouragement...it helps..a lot.
