The answer is quite simple Nelly,

Basically, you should not need a Bible verse to know if someone has stopped doing "Bad" things.
When anyone is truly Born Again, you should be able to see the difference in a very short space of time.

If you must have a verse, then Mathew, the disciple of Jesus, quotes the following words of the Lord:

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes or thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Mat 7:16-20

Anyone who claims to be Born Again and shows no signs of a change in his/her life, be it attitudes, sin, cursing, blasphemy, stealing or whatever else Christians should not be see doing.... is fooling him/herself.

But there is a further types of fruit that should be on unintentional display, namely: Gathering together with fellow Believers, witnessing to others, searching the scriptures in order to obtain a better knowledge of God's Word, and especially praying daily in order to create a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.

Christians are God's Jewels and sadly there are usually imitation diamonds or rubies amongst them. But God is fully aware of them and in the final analysis: "Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire." Mat 7:19

There are many verses that apply to this problem and I leave you to study Gods Word in order not to rob you of the joy when finding them yourself.

you have not answer my question,all u said were right but mind you the person can do all that you mentioned but he will still be as wicked as satan

hmmm nelly i think ron is essentially sayign that once the Holy spirit comes to live inside of you and you start letting yourself be led by the holy spirit, you will instantly see change in that person, no question about it, i will use myself as example, at this point in time, i do not like cursing (use to curse liek a sailor), i dont like arguing (used to be very argumentative), basically everything that u used to be is no more, you are a totally new creation in Christ, another way you can tell is by the fruits of the spirit, since being saved to you feel friendlier, more loving, more giving, more caring, are you tuned into to others emotional and physical needs, does the world sadden you because of their lack of Godliness, then i would say you have the holy spirit in you and just to make sure you follow the things he is trying to teach you, and also make sure you immerse yourself in your word, no lie nelly God will open up your understanding so wide and you will kno exactly what he is tryin to say to you, and the more into your word you get and the deeper into prayer you get the louder and clearer you will hear God speak, be Blessd nelly i hope this help
