They ripped to shreds the Body of Jesus. No bones were broken, yet His Flesh was torn apart. For us to truly be all we can and must be for God. Do we take this example, and submit; die to our flesh? Is this the best way to become Born Again?

After Our Lord went through all He did, what happened? He was Resurrected. Is this the path we must take. To humble our flesh; to die to self. Jesus always said, "Not My will but, His!" As we wonder why so many things happen, are we avoiding the very things that will truly bring us to the place God wants us to be. The old man passes away. Is this why, He wants us to be broken, or humbled? Are we to show the world and one another, what a Born Again Child of God truly looks like?
Though Jesus didn't need to die to self, I think this is a great example. I've never thought of it in this manner. Thanks brother
We need to be broken because ...
... the unsaved self-righteous need to know that they are not alright. Many do not think that they are all that bad and really need a Savior because God is going to weigh our good deeds against our bad deeds. A broken person recognizes their GREAT NEED.
... pride in the believer gets in the way and blocks God from working through the person's life. We must come to a point in our lives where we can truly cry out ... "Not my will, but your will be done."
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We must be broken for God to fix us
I want to thank all of you for sharing. Thank you also Amanda, for your kind words they do help. All that has been shared is true. After some time today and pondering what and why I posted this question. The Kindness of The Spirit has shown me a few things to add. I already know you all know, we are unable to earn what is given to us. We cannot earn Heaven by our actions. One of the things I have seen is, the things of the flesh are weights that only do us harm. They weighs us down, they add so much unnecessary things we should not spend our time with.
And I can now see how what I posted was in haste. I put the cart ahead of the horse, after we are Born Again we will only then die to our flesh. Also, forgive me for implying Jesus dies to His Flesh, I only meant it as our example. How when we resist what God's Love is leading us to do, dying to our flesh feels like. Sin and the things of the flesh are just weights and our time is so short. I trust what I have shared make sense. Again thanks for sharing, the heart grows heavy at times when it feels like we are unable to share what we are feeling.
I think it made perfectly good sense. Thank you for posting this.
Bless you my Kind Sister. I do have to recant something however, Jesus did have to die to His Flesh, He just did with Perfection. Not that He had sin, just that He was human as well as Spirit. He had to face what we do, for He shows us how.
