All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I keep remembering about that poor deer. I knew she wasn’t going to make it because I seen how she was walking. The Lord was merciful to dad and me from sparing us from harm and even death. And He was merciful to the doe. For soon after I asked Him to help her to die quickly [so she wouldn't suffer] she died.

This leads me to the question. It is hard to get that doe out of my mind so I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep too well until I ask this. Why do people love death?

I mean there’s abortion. That Kermitt guy even killed them in his hands if they didn’t die in the womb.

Some boys were bored so they killed a man. I forget who they killed. You probably remember the story.

People love to watch people die on t.v.

I just don’t get it. Now if those thoughts of that poor doe trouble me this much than how can someone want to kill, enjoy it even, another person? I understand people hit into deer all of the time. It is much better to hit into a deer than to steer away into another vehicle. But how can anyone want to kill another human being?

Hmmmm. Good question & I have no clue as to the answer at the moment.

Death is evil & of Satan. Those who kill are of Satan would be my only thought but then you have execution so it's a toughie for me.

Some people love to kill. It is addicting for some. Some are plain and simple evil. Others may not be as evil, but what ever degree of desire we may have to harm and kill another living creature, simply confirms our fallen condition.

Humanity left to it's own Will is doomed. Humans are fallen creatures with no desire for God. Praise be to God that He rescues us from such a condition. Just like you can't comprehend how anybody wants to kill someone else, there are those who cannot understand how you don't enjoy the thrill of killing someone else.

There are all kinds of people in these world, but again Praise God we belong to the light. Shine for your Lord beloved, that is all we can do.

Dear, dear Feet,

Here's some Scripture to underscore Tammy and David's posts:

Jesus says in John 8:44, " You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar and the father of lies."

And consider Revelation 12: 12, " For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he only has a short time."

Feet, the world is an evil place because of all this. And it will stay this way until Jesus comes back in all His glory. Amen.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Richard

I believe that you have summed it up well. The devil is running rampent in this world and Jesus said in John 10:10

"The thief (the devil) comes to kill, to steal and to destroy".

So simply killing fo the sake of  killing is a natural response of those strongly influenced by him. I especially noticed a conflict with returning vietnam veterans. There are many who never want to see a gun again because of what they saw or did and yet there are some I have personal knowledge of who miss what they call 'the killing fields'.

As you have so well stated "the world is an evil place because of all this. And it will stay this way until Jesus comes back in all His glory".

God bless

And you know what I've read before? The unsaved leave themselves oven for demons. And with as witchcraft and death [like horror movies] is in society no wonder there are so many open doors for those demons.

Feets, This is such a thought provoking question..

When I first read it, my initial response what 'but people don't love death...'

But you're right... and it's very sad.

I asked my husband this question to get his perspective (he's a non-believer)

He said that people love death because it is the 'unknown'... It's a mystery.

None of us has ever done it before and lived to tell about it.

As Christians we know that death has lost it's victory and it's sting...

As Christians we don't seek out death, because we have found everlasting life.  This world is not our home.

It's truly sad that people love death.. I hope they come to a point that they love life instead and seek out Jesus with all their heart, soul mind and strength.

Great question beloved... It surprised me, and caused me to think differently.

Blessings, Carla

I asked my husband too & the first thing he said was Satan. Satan felt like that was his victory when Christ died on that cross. It was exciting to him I would think until Jesus got the keys to Hades. That's just my opinion.

Revenge is what popped in my head as to why some people love to kill or at least fantasize about death and  love death.
