My short answer we should always take what we do and/or say to the Lord. Preferrably before we do and/or say it.  That part I haven't quite perfected. With The Lord's help it is coming though ever so slowly.

One of the things I was thinking w/ posting this was, many times people can see things in us that we do not see.  Now the Word is clear that the Holy Ghost edifies us.  What I am saying is, when we see the good and strength in people we should share that.  The word over and over again gives us examples of, who and what we are in Christ.  To those things we can look to and recieve.

When others through rocks and etc., if we receive those things we will begin to act in that fashion.  So as Jesus tells us to, look to the good in people.  See who others are Christ and, as many teachings have told us, we will begin to see those things in ourselves.  Edify, Edify others in the Lord, look to the strength in others.

One of the saints of old said: preach the gospel at all times and at times use words to do it.

I am paraphrasing him.

We should not be better at seeing others since our Lord calls us to examine ourselves, but it is true for many, that others may be able to detect something the person doesn't.

Actions and words are both very important, but doing supersedes words, as we all know.

Some great questions brother!

There are definitely times when I struggle to see others better than myself and I do remember Philippians 2:3-4 and that leads on to 1John 3:18
