I've been hearing this preaching a lot lately, and I'll be honest I have stopped and really thought about it. But you know what, I am sticking to my guns, and standing my ground to say: God has a plan for me, and He knows the desires of my heart, and I know when the one whose rib I was created from, comes along, I will know him and he will know me, because 'most importantly' we know HIM.
To you, you and you, who come up to me and say "God has shown me that you are my wife.", that is all good and well that God talks to you, but don't you think He would have said something to me too about you? Or at least dropped a hint of some sort? :)
Can I please hear where other christian singles stand on such issues.

I am not single, but obviously was at one time and have counseled numerous people before getting married and too many after they got married. Unless you come from a culture where marriages are arranged you are not going to get married to a person who tells you that you are the one God has given them unless you too sense this is the right person. Too many today leave God out of the picture and then complain about what they ended up with ... Your desire to sense from the Lord that this is the right person is a good approach, but beware ... the heart can be a deceitful thing. Take time to be sure that it is of the Lord (1 John 4:1).

I will most certainly do that. I do not want to have to end up with a goat, when what I need is a sheep hahaha...
I once tried this whole "I'll drag them (him) to Jesus and get them (him) saved" approach, and I even inquired of God about him and He said a firm and audible no. But because I have goat tendencies, I went ahead and dated him and tried to save him, and soon I learned that only Jesus can do the saving, my part is to be a vessel and mouth piece and spread the gospel and He does the rest.
I am pleased that it has been of help.
