Dear fegor, God bless you!
Yes His love does exist. It's this fire inside. I don't know how to explain how it feels. God is love. A few verses came to mind. Have you believed in Jesus and accepted Him as Lord? I hope so. All I'm asking you to do is to have a little faith that the things I'm saying to you are true. Faith is like learning to walk. The child takes the first step and may plop down at first. But eventually he/she figures it out and walks. Faith is just like that. The picture of Jesus knocking at the door, if you look closely, there is no doorknob. We must open the door. You open your heart and He will come in.
He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8)
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9,10)
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7,8)
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. (Luke 17:6)
I hope this helps.
Love,
Mary
God's love to you Fegor. :-) I'm one of those people that's been saved to the uttermost. I thank Him for that.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)
I love Romans 8 so much, I don't know where to start. Nothing can separate you from the love of God. God will always love you.
Love,
Mary
Yes, that kind of love exists and one can really have faith in God. The key is understanding that neither is something we earn or work up to ... both are gifts of God.
Hi Fegor,
The scriptures tell us that If we really love God an evidence of that is that we will keep his commandments. John 14:15. Right after that verse in John 14:16 Jesus promises that if we do then he will pray that the Father will give us another comforter , that he may abide with us for ever.
When this comforter comes he sheds God's love abroad in our hearts. Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us. Then we can return to God the very love that he has shed abroad in our hearts. Such sweet fellowship!
We love Him because he first loved us. I John 4:19. We love each other I John 4:21 And this commandment we have from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
Father God loves those he has created passionately and is seeking fellowship with his creation. He says that he who seeks him will find him when he seeks with his whole heart. And even though at times our hearts are not completely pure before God if we pray and ask Him to cleanse us of that which would seperate us from that which hinders our walk with him he will. God is at work in us helping us want to do his will. Philippians 2:13
Abba is a perfect Father who knows how to meet his childrens needs. No good thing will he withhold from the upright.
And faith is also a gift from God. John 1:9 says, That was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. God has planted faith in everyones heart. That faith is increased as we hear the Word of God with hearing ears. Which basically is ears that hear and feet that are swift to obey. See Romans 10:17 ...Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Blessings,
Helen
Fegor, Jesus' kind of love is compassion, offered without selfish motive. Jesus' kind of faith is trust and depending in God. To know this, you will find it in Jesus'. Yes, in the Bible, but also in a living reality with Him today.
To discover Jesus' compassion, offer compassion to someone who cannot repay you. To discover real "faith", make a decision to obey God in something hard (that the Bible explicitly commands) and trust him for the result, depend on him to answer without telling another person.
God is real. Not just theory. Jesus said we must hear his word and obey; this is the power - to do both. Hear him and obey him. Jesus exists. You will discover he exists when you hear and do what he says.
Very good ScribeD.
