They say that 10% tithing in the old testament is not anymore applicable  the new testament believers.

They say that whatever you decided in your heart is only what you could give, for God love a cheerful giver.

I believe the new testament giving is more and much than 10%. I believe those who don't practice tithing is not following God and doesn't love God and doesn't love His ministry...

Tithes are something that is of benefit to you as a believer. ----- It's a chance to exercise your faith the way an athlete exercises his body. I mean really now, does anyone actually believe that the God who created the Heavens and the Earth honestly needs something material from us. LOL, it’s laughable. ----- A tithe is for your benefit, not for Gods! Whether or not we take advantage of that benefit is up to us. ----- It is like your company drawing up a program that states that if you allow them to take out 10%, that they will match it 10 fold or something and you say no, I think I will opt out of that generous plan.

Amen and praise God for that detailed reply. God bless michelle.

It is a really a question of do we really acknowledged God as the owner of everything? are we a really good steward or do we treat ourselves us the owner? How do we see giving, as a privilige or burden? Do we give as for mercy or sacrifice? Love or selfishness?

It always puzzle me why a lot of people study Gods word and yet says and do otherwise. Are they like some lawyers and politician, that knowing the law, also makes them know how to get out of some crimes?
