Hi G, God bless,
None of the people I mentioned had sex outside of marriage. I wanted to be sure I didn't say something that gave you a wrong idea. Another person I know has teamed up with single friends and coordinates a singles fellowship. They meet once a month and each brings a dish to share. They're connected to a large ministry in my area. I consider them very dynamic. They have guest speakers come in. They enjoy activities together. Sometimes the problem is meeting someone who's single in your church or someone that you can trust. Maybe approach it putting God first. Of course God wants you to meet other singles. That's why I was thinking a Christian singles group. Let God be your center. Look for someone who is faithful to God. I'm saying what I'd say to my daughter. :-)
Love,
Mary
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the question?
You said ,"I like being single, but I recognize that premarital sex is a sin. So what do I do? an alternative is to have a long term bf no?"
I'm not quite sure what the question is. Is it okay to remain single you're asking? Or is it should I marry so that I can have sex? They both seem kind of vague, so I'd like to get to the true meaning of what exactly you're asking.
Can you please help me? Thank You
Including premarital sex?
If you desire to be in the Lord's will & follow His commands, it can't happen dear. There isn't even a hint of it being allowed in the Word. Either celibate or married.
I'm very thankful that you do see this now.
Tammy-My response perfectly aligns yours.
God Bless you too geminisandiego.
thank you elaine. i do see this now.
It sounds like you are craving intimacy. Sex without marriage (and its inherent commitments and co-responsibility) is not intimacy, it is usership (taking, rather than giving). It sounds like what you are seeking is intimacy, which starts with seeking intimacy with Christ.
Until you resolve that, nothing else will satisfy.
