I posted the same question at YahooAnswers and was frightened by how little people really know about Mormons and Christians. Many people told my that since Mormons beleive in Christ they are Christians and it's ok. What's your take on this misconception? Does it frighten you that so many people view Mormons as Christains? And what do you think about the stores selling the itmes?
NO! I come the position of a Christian Retailer. I manage a christian store and I will not carry anything from the Morman church or even associated with them. There were some items that were available to me last year they were videos for Christmas and some Bible stories. They were good and did not express any of the Morman beliefs, but I did not sell them because they were a Morman company. Now that may seem harsh but from my perspective they are teaching false beliefs. So I won't carry anything even remotely involved with the Morman church. They do not believe in the same Jesus I know and love.

i completely agree with you norm. now here's a new question for all christians to consider. if your fave store starts selling mormon items, should you still shop there?
My local christian bookstore does not sell books about mormonism except in the cult section. However, my biggest complaint is that this store and many other christian book stores are very high priced. I cannot afford these books and have opted to buy books at second hand book shops. I wonder if Christian retailer are not just going the way of the world and its a money making business? I realize like any business one must stay afloat and make a profit. But the word of God should be available to all people regardless of their inability to pay. Its the same way with the internet. Christian web sites offer witnessing materials..but at a price! WWJD
I quite agree the christian book stores are very high priced so I generally go to my library and do research there but would like to get some books to keep for reference
