First of all, I want to say welcome to the site. Prayer is a personal thing between you & God. There is no specific posture, number of times to pray or a specific prayer to pray. The Bible does tell us to pray continuously.

Jesus gave us an example of how to pray when his disciples asked Him how to pray. Most call it the Lord's prayer.

There is no specific prayer for the removal of evil spirits. Scriptures tell us to resist the devil & he will flee from you but doesn't say that you can pray them away. They are here to stay until thrown into the lake of fire. They are just doing their job.

Thank you for the answer!

I'm guessing you will get more replies & the others are way more knowledgeable than I am. I'm also known around here to give the short & sweet replies.

I think you will like reading the information about praying and spiritual warfare at this link http://www.focusonthefamily.com/faith/becoming-a-christian/developi...

Thank you for the link, helped me :)!

God bless sister!

Hi Halwest, God bless you!

How many times a day should i pray?

How often do you want to talk to God? It's really neat if you think about it. You have God's attention. As you become more experienced as a Christian, you may find yourself talking to God a lot more. Lots of conversations. It's not reciting memorized prayers. Think of it as conversations with God, and He is listening. God cares about you.

Need i go down on my knees when i pray? Sometimes. What if you're riding a bike, but also talking to God and sharing something with Him? Do you ever enjoy something with God? Like something from His creation and give Him praise? Do you ever want to jump up and down and tell God something He's done is fabulous?

And should i always say a prayer before i eat food? It's good to give thanks.  :-)

Can you share a prayer that removes evil spirits? You need prayers, but you need a knowledge of the Word of God. It is written. It's not how much you know, but that you believe that which you know. You need a good foundation in God's Word and belief. In Acts 19:13-16, men prayed, but did not have the belief that they should have had. The KJV calls them vagabond Jews. I don't want to say the belief isn't there. When you say prayers over people for evil spirits to leave, somethings going to happen, and you need to know what you are doing. It's interesting in the verse. The spirit said that it knew Jesus and Paul. It perceived and understood who they were, but it's asking the question, who are you?.

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. (Acts 19:13-16 NIV)

Love,

Mary

Thank you Mary :)!

Food for thought, in regards to your question about praying before a meal. God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He causes the grass to grow. Life would be pretty bleak without Him. We may work for our living, but we eat from His table every single day.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

Personal opinion, we should give thanks so much more.

Love,

Mary

Yes i do thank him when i eat!

All glory be to God!

I agree Mary
