All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I have always been intrigued by Paul especially his conversion on the road to Damcus(misspelled) but in any case. Did he know Jesus before his death or had Jesus already died. Also, some people have said that he was the greatest prophet that ever lived for Jesus. Could some of my saints out their give me some scripture to back any of this up if true.  If not give me some scriptures to read on what Paul mission was I know he went to tell the world why Jesus came to earth, he tried to convert people to christianity, and many more things in the name of Jesus.  Mary Doris

Saul was trained by a leader in the Pharisee party who lived in Jerusalem. This is enough information to conclude he would have at known of Him before His death and probably saw Jesus at some point.

The Bible does not proclaim Paul to be the greatest, thus to make such a claim would be opinion and really not warranted, especially since our focus should be Jesus.

1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,

1Ti 2:2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

1Ti 2:3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

1Ti 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

1Ti 2:6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

1Ti 2:7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Thank You LT. Mary Doris

Mary,

I agree with LT but wanted to add this thought.....much of Paul's time was spent in jail for teaching/preaching the Good New of Christ Jesus...he had been wealthy, or influential had influential friends to help provide him with the supplies and writers(when he had need of them) to get these teaching letters out to who they were written to. I place high regard on the other New Testament writers as well, who might not have had the same opportunities or the same length of time to minister in writing, but were able to get their messages out as well.

Luke (the physician) did a great job on the Book of Luke and the Book of Acts.

John was all into Jesus, and his writings are superb. He did a masterful job of writing the Revelation of Christ Jesus, which was given to him by Christ, through visions.

Peter, also, wrote very informatively, as did James.

The entire Bible is one awesome book IMHO.

It amazes me how so many writers...over such a long length of time...could write a Book, that speaks so accurately, in many places...of the same events, and they all blend into a perfect mix, all being accurate but somehow different.

The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke...all speak of the birth of Christ, but to get the entire picture, one must read  the account in all 3 to get the complete picture. In using that example, one can see the Hand of God dictating these books that make up our Instruction Book from God...His Will for our lives.

Really, really awesome!

Rita,

I will read John, Luke, and Acts. Thank-You. Mary Doris
