I need to know how to interpret this verse.
When Jesus says God has forsaken Him people use that to "prove" He isn't God. Saying "How can Jesus be forsaken by God if he is God? Did he cry out to himself?"
What do I do if someone brings that up?

Some commentaries interpret this as Jesus quoting from Psalm 22 (http://www.insearchoftruth.org/articles/God_forsaken.html is on such site)
For me, this comes down to how to define and interpret the concept of the trinity. I've turned myself inside out several times trying to work out how can there be a Father, a Son and a Holy Spirit and yet all form 1 God. For the cross and resurrection to achieve what it needed to though, Jesus had to be God.
