Life After Death I am confused please help me!!!

The standard interpretation is that after we die if we have accepted the Lord we immediatly go to be with him as Paul said, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". If we are not believers we immediately are in Hell. We then exist in that state until the resurrection when we enter our reformed bodies. There is a minority view called soul sleep which believes that people who die enter a state on unconsciousness until the resurrection. This view is held by seventh day adventists among a few others. I think the evidence points more clearly to the first option. I don't know of any genuine orthodox churches that believe dead spirits roam the earth. I hope this is helpful.

Empress, if you and your child are in a department store and your small child is confused or thinks he or she is lost, but you are fully aware of where the two of you are, What does your child have to fear?

My dear sister, there are many things you may never completely understand, but there is one thing of which you can be certain,
You are his child by faith in the shed blood and broken body of His prescious Son, our Lord Christ Jesus. Therefore, you may not be clear on the "Doctrine". But your Father is clear that you are His child. My prescious Sister, read: Philippians 1:6; 2:13;
Ephesians 3:14 and Colossians 1:9-14. Come before Him quietly, in prayer and he will make you confident by His Spirit in you.

PS...sit down with your bible and turn to St. John 14 in it's entirety and surrender your heart to His word and watch what He does. You will be so glad you did.

The thief on the cross next to Jesus said these words and He said "TODAY" you will be with me in Paradise because that thief "BELIEVED" on Him the son of God! He believed!!

Luk 23:42 And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come in Your kingdom.

Luk 23:43 And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you will be with Me in Paradise
