If one doesn't pray, does that mean he is committing sin?

I think they are missing a huge opportunity to draw closer to their Savior.
I believe in many ways this question is answered in the reasons why a person is not Praying. A very sad fact is that many feel they are not able to talk to God because of their sin. The enemy has convinced them, because of their sin God does not want to hear from them. Some have failed so many times they are tricked into thinking God does not want to hear from them. Or, even more sad are those who have chosen to stay in their sin, so they chose not to Pray. So many fail to understand the true Power of His Mercy and Grace. So I guess we must remember them in our Prayers that they may see the Light. Great Question Little Sister.
Some friends of mine think prayer is when you lock yourself some where alone, by yourself and tell God your problems. I don't disagree with that, because I used to think that way to0. I now think prayer has more to do with my relationship with my God. The closer the relationship the more often one communicates or pray to God, for prayer, I think, is communication with God.
I have realized that I talk more than I listen, which I think is also wrong. Sometimes, I just sing praise songs, worshiping Him, the least chance I get. I wonder how people get by, in this confused world without having time with God.
Brother Chris and sis Tammy, I think I like your suggestion that we remember our brothers and sisters who are missing out on friendship with God, in our prayers.
God bless!

That is the trick is it not? Learning how to listen more then we talk. I does take practice, yet we have the Spirit to help us. As we learn to desire His Voice over ours. As we give into His Will we learn His Way. To learn how to listen is a very difficult thing to do. We all must learn how. Lord Bless you Sis
Chris,
My husband would amen you on this one. hehehe
1 Sam. 12:23 "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:"
Hos. 7:7 "They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me."
James 4:2 "…ye have not, because ye ask not."
I think I would answer this question in this manner,
1) Can you not pray: with a clear conscience?
2) Do you feel justified in your reasons for not praying?
3) Do you feel that prayer is burdensome?
4) Do you pray with conviction; or as an obligation, as a religious act?
We must be praying in faith; because: whatsoever is not of faith is sin!
Rom.14:23. I believe this one passage of scripture, has answered a lot of questions for me.
