All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I was page hopping and came across this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=HGQDkCi-OIY&am...

After my brother passed away my mom would look to buy books with folks talking about going to heaven then returning. Sometimes we would read about some going to hell and they say their flesh would be ripped from them. They would tell about some horrifying experiences. My mom believed the stories of them in heaven but i dont really think she would read all the hell storys. Me myself always believed these people were just trying to sell a book. My mom would get so upset at me. But even though I loved my mom I couldnt bring myself to believe that someone could enter heaven and espesially hell and then return again. How can one leave hell?   I listened to this video I found on a members page and please forgive me but I just cant believe she went to hell and especially if she truly repented before she shot herself. I hope i am not stepping on toes because i certainly dont want any chewin outs. Is it in the bible that these things can happen? Thank you for if I get any responces.

To give her the benefit of the doubt ...

I listened to the video once more and the lady is teaching a works based salvation IMO. At the very end she talks about when she got saved (after all of this was over) and she mentions crucifying the flesh and she says when the soul is in the body it is a constant war for our soul. She is teaching that we must surrender to the "Lordship" of Jesus in order to not end up in Hell and I gather from her comments that it is a constant battle that we can lose and lose our soul, too.

Is that the gospel?

There is a battle between the born again spirit and the flesh -- that much is true.

She speaks of the great gulf and how she passed over it from hell into heaven. She says she was dead at the time and that these were actual experiences and not just dreams or visions. Luke 16:26 says no one can pass over that gulf. Why would she be permitted to do it?

She says as she traveled over the heavens she was cleansed of her sins and then came back into her body and surrendered to the "Lordship of Jesus."

She then called for her mother who called an ambulance but the EMTs saw that she was gray and had the "pallor of death" on her and wondered if it was worth even taking her to the hospital. But she claims she was not dying but had actually returned from being dead. As far as the EMTs go ... That would not happen. If she
had a pulse they would have started emergency lifesaving procedures and if she didn't have a pulse they would have started CPR.

She says she healed of her gun shot injury in hours.

I do believe in miraculous healing. I believe people are given visions and dreams.

But she claims these were actual experiences ... Going to Hell, crossing the great gulf into heaven, etc ...

She says the Bible teaches that death is the absence of God. Does it? Paul said for him to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord?

Only for the unbeliever is death an absence and eternal separation from God.

My understanding is that she is teaching that we must surrender to the "Lordship of Jesus" to be saved.

Is that the true gospel? At the end she says if anyone is believing
anything except the true gospel of Jesus, then they are believing a lie.

How ironic!

Amanda,

Well said, Sis.................
