Hi Atang,
How do you feel on this topic? Do you feel it is a sin?

I myself don't listen to that stuff because of the lyrics. Not all, but alot are not good.

Have a listen to the lyrics, and ask yourself this, Would God want me listening to this?

To answer your question, yes I believe it is sin. I base this on the lyrics and the music videos.

I think if its not glorifying God and u r a Christian i dont think itz cool because music have a spirit behind it...

I ALSO FEEL IT IS SIN BECAUSE OF THE LYRCS YES

BUT I SOMETIMES GET CONFUSED BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME OF THEM WICH ARE NOT BAD...

Atang,

It is interesting because the worship pastor in our church just gave a message on this last Sunday. He believe the Lord gave him a matrix to help sort out music and media choices. Every kind of media or music can fall into one of four categories.

1. Direct Worship / Redemptive: These are hymns or worship music that directly praise God.
2. Indirect Worship / Redemptive: These are songs speak about our Christian experience and promote the fruit of the Spirit.
3. Non-worship / Redemptive: Music or media (whether written by Christians or non-Christians) that talk about the good things in the human experience, that uplift and promote the following: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
4. Non-worship / Non-redemptive: Music or media that promotes or glories in the sinful things listed in Galatians 5:19-21.

As Christians, we have freedom in Christ to enjoy the first three types of music or media regardless of genre. But we are to avoid #4.

yes, it is a sin. i have deleted every one i have on ma pc. it always talks about selfish interest and bad behaviors. Robbing, taking someone's wife, killing and the rest.
