I just finished a most amazing book about praise and worship by Larry Trammell. Alas, he's passed away now, but we do have his writings and CDs. Praise the Lord! It changed my thinking. God's people are strongholds. We bring our thoughts into captivity. We choose to study the Word of God and apply it to our lives. I know, I was reading along and I'm like hey wait a minute read that again. I'm a stronghold. You are a stronghold. Our thoughts and actions, we renew our minds to what the Word of God says. Sometimes we give satan far too much credit and so little to God's spirit. We hardly ever hear about the good kind of strongholds. Okay maybe you need some more bricks and stronger mortar. You can get that from studying God's Word and Holy Spirit. You are so welcome to seek prayer in the prayer group, the forum and talk to any one of us here. LT even put up a helpline group. Please don't surrender. I wouldn't give satan the old bird the satisfaction, if you resist, he'll flee. You're special to God. God loves you very deeply, and He's quite smitten with you. God is going to love you forever.

Mary, I've never looked at stronghold from any perspective other than the negative one in a biblical aspect. I like this -- what you said. I'm not familiar with the author you mentioned, but he sounds worth checking out.

Motar and bricks = The word of God.
I thank God for your words Mary, they come as an answer to some of my prayers, to Him be all the glory and honour. Now when I pray/fight, I will do so from a fresh and renewed stand point/perspective.
