The child needs to be encouraged in the Lord. If the child knows the Lord, he/she is already learning how to be encouraged in Him. If not, the child should be ministered to through the Word of God.

Children should be taught who the Lord is and that He is our Savior. They need to be taught Hope, Faith, and be shown what hope and faith are...what roll they play in that child's life, our own lives.

We, through our human wisdom, cannot know how to explain abuse but we know how to encourage in the Lord. WE know how to endure in the Lord. We need to teach this to the children as well. One of the bad things our government has done is take God out of the classroom. By doing this, they are prohibiting children to get some kind of Christian upbringing in public, as well as the home or because a lack of it in the home.

Cinderella is a perfect example of Christianity. It shows abuse, noncommittal parents, a savior and eternal happiness.
