Who is the Holy Spirit?

What is His purpose?

How do we get Him?

How are we baptized by Him?

I would like us all to put our knowledge of the Holy Spirit together so that we can better understand Him.

He is an awesome part of our Christianity but do we really know Him?

Or possably they are Spirit led and The Holy Spirit is trying to teach them both something. No man is right there is only one teacher. We must let Him teach.

So you believe that the Holy Spirit will move some one to bring forth errant teachings as a way to teach them?

Lord Bess,

LT

don't think I would suggest that yet it isn't impossable.

I would be more inclined to say Holy Spirit moves someone yet does not take away our freedom of thought as a result we bring in wrong teachings. The Holy Spirit works with us through this. Of course the most important thing is to be willing to hear.

One thing I do know is the enemy will use truth and scripture to decieve.

I have seen where scripture was used in such a manner it quenched the Spirit. I believe there is scripture warning us about this as well.

As I had spoke of earlier the word can be presented flawlessly. A great speaker can work wonders. I witnessed this more than once and thank the Holy Spirit for directing from it.

What I am saying is The Word albeit it is knowledge yet without the Holy Spirit it is only head knowledge. No heart or wisdom.

Nancy,

Very good word.

Lord Bless,

LT

Nancy,

Holy Spirit works in many ways, far beyond our understanding. Thanks for sharing.

Lord Bless,

LT

Exactly Nancy  but does The Holy Spirit stop teaching because we stop listening.  If that be so then I have a hard time believing anyone is saved. As it is the Holy Spirit of The Father that draws us.

Many times people have been wrong in their understanding and the Holy Spirit has brought them around.

I have not said we do not need the Word  all I am saying is we need the Holy Spirit to guide us through the Word.

and as yyou know Nancy the one thing I have noticed is we in our community talk about Grace  talk about Mercy talk about Forgiveness yet we teach in a box I look at the accounts in scripture and it is so wonderful that the men and woman in scripture had the faith to step outside that box. They had the faith in the promises of our Father. I just do not very often see that in our community. Please instead of debating an understanding lets hear what the Holy Spirit has been doing in the lives of the community .  Possably in hearing some accounts we may all understand better. And yes hopefully I will find I am wrong.
thatis the problem with Adults we for get the one liners "lest ye come on to Me as children you will not enter My Fathers Kingdom"
Also Nanacy my comment was in reply to LT  when he appeared to be suggesting that I was saying The Holy Spirit brings about errant teaching. No He does not we in our lack do. If the sheperd loses one sheep does he not leave the 99 to bring back the one.

oh hey the Holy Spirit moves you  You have lots. It has been seen time and time again. It is that child like willingness.

Do not allow the adults to blur you.

Yes He is awesome. Unfortunately I am showing my age and will have to get to bed. I have had an exciting  yet very long day The Lord has been busy today and I can only hope and pray I have absorbed His teachings.
18     y“The Spirit of the Lord zis upon me,
 because he has anointed me
to aproclaim good news to the poor.
bHe has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and crecovering of sight to the blind,
dto set at liberty those who are oppressed,
19     eto proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
20 And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and fsat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were gfixed on him. 21 And he began to say to them, “Today hthis Scripture ihas been fulfilled in your hearing.”
