Hi Cassie,

 

It is wonderful when we know and feel that the Holy Spirit is always with us.  However, I just want to speak a word of caution here.  Quite often, a believer will fall into a time that they doubt their salvation, because they have stopped 'feeling' the Holy Spirit.  Beloved, we cannot trust our feelings.  Satan himself can be disquised as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14).

There are also many false teachers in the world who can cause our emotions to feel elevation or even joyful by using certain music, lights... styles of preaching.  Test every Spirit beloved (1 John 4:1).  Do not fall for every thing that has a feeling attached to it. 

 

God wants us to be assured of our Salvation (1 John 5:13).  I know this post is not about that...  but I feel led to tell you this anyway.  You can know that you belong to the LORD even though you may not 'feel' Him all the time.    You can know this because the Word of God is true. (proverbs 30:5).

The Holy Spirit also testifies with us that we are His. 

Beloved, over all things trust in God's Word and believe it without wavering..  not your feelings..  Although our 'feelings' are one way of confirming our connection with God..they are far to unstable, often dependent upon circumstances, that they cannot be trusted.

Those who truly accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, has the Holy Spirits dwells in them.

Who will teach us all things. The Holy Spirit has fruits ( Galatians 5:22-23 ). Those 9 fruits will manifest in us

by learning process, as we grow in His grace, depending on how we follow His words of course.

I call this Christian barometer. Heart feelings might deceive you. Ponder on Gods word.

Worship and Praises is best sing without instruments. Music is not what makes us joyful,  its Gods word.

Knowing He will never leave us nor forsake us. tnx

You can be close to it by abiding to its guidance. Praying incesantly, reading Gods word, fasting, and doing his will.

I think if you would dowhat jesus says and stay in the word daily meditate on the word daily and always be obedient and keep learning everything you need to larn about growing closer to god you will feel more of him he said we will be able to do the things jesus did so just keep building up on your FAITH daily and always be still and know that god is god and you will be rewarded by god for your continuous obedience and faith.
