The question that first has to be answered is whether physical relations with the same gender is sin in God's eyes according to His Word. Without going into a lot of detail and trying to debate this part I will simply state that it is sin to have sexual relations with someone of the same gender.

With that said I will try to answer your specific question as short as possible. You may not be able to control your attractions, but you can control your actions. I am a married man, but I have no liberty to commit adultery. I must demonstrate self-control. If I was unmarried I would have no liberty to have physical relations with a person of the opposite gender regardless of the attraction or deep desire, I must demonstrate self-control. Thus, I must determine what the Word of God says and act accordingly regardless of my feelings or passions.

If one chooses to reject God and walk according to the flesh one would have to question their salvation regardless of which sin. Thus, again, it is not what are your attractions, but rather what are your actions (not asking for a specific answer here.). If one chooses to ignore God's Word and continues in an affair year after year one would have every reason to question the salvation of the person committing the adultery, even if they say they love Jesus ... their actions say just the opposite. I believe this same principle applies to your specific question.

Thank you but i dont have yet into a relationship since then but i know God alot. I need to repent while im still alive thank youagain may God bless you brother : )
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

It is true that many who are homosexuals and who become saved do not become automatically physically attracted to the opposite sex. They choose to remain celibate and fight the temptations, sometimes for the remainder of their lives. Others do marry the opposite sex and have children.

As far as heterosexual relationships go, many of those relationships between males and females are sinful, such as believer dating and/or marrying an unbeliever, two people who are divorced and who are committing adultery through marrying each other, or a man and a woman having premarital sex.

All of it falls under sexual immorality.

The soul is what matters to God. There is forgiveness for all sins except the one Jesus mentions in Matthew 12:31-32.

We all have sin to overcome. Some of us struggle with various kinds, but 2 Cor 5:17 says “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Your sin no longer defines you. God knows and calls us by a different name when we are born again instead of the things mentioned in 1 Cor 6:9-10. As verse 11 says we are washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

9Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. NIV

You've been bought at a price. Read the rest of 1 Cor 6 to understand how to live your life for Him, the One to Whom you now belong, in the area of sexual immorality.

12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”[b] 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.[c]

18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. NIV
Thank you so much for this. I appreciate it : ) God bless. thank you!

Great counsel from Amanda!  And yes, we all have our struggles, so never think that you are alone.

Christian counsel could help, but choose carefully.  Biblical counseling is not politically correct!

Thank you so much. Pray for me guys
For God so loved the WORLD. As Amanda pointed out, God is against homosexuality, but He's also against fornication, adultery, lust. But He forgives those sins too. Even after we confess, we will sometimes still fail but we're never beyond forgiveness unless completely rejecting the Holy Spirit. God cannot forgive those who do not want forgiveness.

You think homosexuality is too bad for His forgiveness. Yet adultery is perhaps covered more in Scripture and who is one of Scriptures all-time adulterers? David...a man after God's own heart and counted worthy enough to become a part of the line of Jesus Christ. Who else was in Christ's lineage? A harlot/hooker Rahab. If you look through His genealogy, you will find God used some hefty sinners in the lineage of His only Son. But all had something else in common. They recognized their sin and were sorrowful over it.

And they were also all lacking one thing...Jesus. HE became the final sacrifice for sin. Our faith in Christ removes our sin from God's eyes. Christ literally went through hell so we don't have to...and while we were yet sinners (gay, adulterer, fornicater, liar, thief, murderer), Christ died (a horrific, hellacious, and completely voluntary death) for us.

Will God accept you in Heaven? What were some of Christ's final Words spoken to a theif?

I tell you the truth. Today you shall be with me in paradise.
Yup. Im Homosexual but ive never been intercourse with others Man

Hi Joseph,

Waiting for a change of heart. We all make choices, and so can you. Some of us choose everyday. The good news is, it gets easier as time goes on. You make the choice and stick with it. Some of the brethren here know me well enough to know I've had to choose. They've read when I've talked about it. When satan approaches me now, I tell him in Jesus Christ's name to shut up and buzz off. That doesn't mean he stops approaching me. He just waits a bit and tries something different. You feed your mind with Bible. It's the sword of the spirit. Our Lord showed us how it's done. He said...It is written. I'm a little more terse with satan. It's my right as a child of God to tell satan in Jesus Christ's name to shut up and buzz off. I guess I could say in Jesus Christ's name be silent and go away. As a pastor I know said...We are not garbage cans with hairy lids, we are temples of the Holy Ghost. All I'll say is thank you, Bob. His name is Pastor Bob. I've never forgotten that.  :-)  If you will put Bible in your mind, it will help.

Love and God bless,

Mary

Joseph, you can't help every thought that comes to mind. You can control whether or not you let it stay there. I was a spiritualist and whatever. I'm not going to discuss too much this dark goo. You don't think I've had thoughts I'm unhappy about? Especially in this present world. Do you suppose I see and hear things that remind me of my past? All the time. Jesus Christ and the Word of God have changed me. I made the choice. That's why I can talk to you about making a choice. First I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. And now I'm putting the Word of God in my mind a steady diet. You can choose. Not a piece of cake. It takes work, but you won't be disappointed.

Love and God bless,

Mary
