Different religions intermixing
What does scriptures say about religions intermixing? I have been seeing more and more people who are church goers who are saying that the people who say that you cant mix things that are against God with the things that are for god are being hateful. They dont word it like that but that's basically what they are against IMO. They do call them hateful though. They are for the coexisting of religions.
I did engine searches but I only found opinions and not very much scripture. Thank you for any scriptures explaining .

It sounds like you're talking about religious tolerance. It's more of a social movement. We don't want to force all people to have the same religion. What if that religion were any other religion but Christianity? In America freedom of religion is actually a good thing in that respect. Persecution often occurs when we become socially intolerant of someone's religious beliefs. However, there is only one truth. Being a Christian isn't just having a religion but is having a relationship with God and Christianity is exclusive of other religions spiritually. There are interfaith ministries where it's encouraged to remain open to ideas and beliefs of others. Do all religions lead to being saved and spending eternity with God? Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and etc? Non-Christian religions won't get people there. But it's a good question -- what should we think about religious pluralism? We certainly can't think that even though people are taking different paths that they will all still end up at the same final eternal destination.

Sounds like your talking about accepting other religions that aren't truly of God. There is a church that is called Unity Church that accepts everyone, every belief, everything. It teaches a positive approach to life, seeking to accept the good in all people and events. It maintains that there is good in every approach to God and in every religion that is fulfilling someone's needs. Its position holds that one should not focus on past sins but on the potential good in all. It is an inclusive faith that welcomes diversity of belief. Unity is accepting of the beliefs of others. They were the first to ordain an openly gay minister as well as the first to marry homosexuals in their 'church'. Some may call this hateful but I call it living by the Word. We're not to look like the world in order to show them Christ.

If you are talking about other religions mixing with Christianity and not denominations the Bible is pretty clear, especially in the Old Testament. In the OT God calls it adultery as the people brought foreign religions (gods) into the land of Israel.

Hi Janie,
People of many religions seek God, but they neglect to understand that God has sought us through Jesus.
Jesus is perfectly clear when He says this:
(3 translations same verse)
New American Standard Bible
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
King James Bible
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.New Living Translation
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.There is only one way to God...it is through Jesus.
People may say it is narrow minded to say that Jesus is the only way, and the bible agrees:
Matthew chapter 7
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14“For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.Once a person discovers who Jesus is and accepts Him as Saviour (repents of sin and believes the gospel), the thirst in searching is finally quenched.
John chapter 4
13Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
There's no need to 'mix religions' once we have Jesus. The desire to do so is gone because Jesus satisfies.
Romans chapter 5
Peace and Hope
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, wea have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And web boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but wec also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
As LT has pointed out, in the OT there is much to say about idolatry and mixing beliefs systems. We're not saved by keeping the Law as the Old Covenant taught. We are under a New Covenant saved by the blood of Christ.

I am sorry I was really tired when I wrote that question.
What I mean is .. I read blogs and fb post and see people arguing back and forth. Some think that people who do not believe in the biblical God but believe in their god should be able to go to the biblical churches and have rights to remove the cross remove the name Jesus from songs etc. They say that God says to love every one and that they should counter to their beliefs also because christianity isn't the only belief in the world... The ones who do not agree with this are called haters. They are told things like ... Who do you think you are?, and God made them too. They go back and forth about it all the time. One of the guys on a friends FB think its ok to even worship together. How can they intermix and worship ?

Then they need to go there if they want to take down the cross, take blood from the hymns & remove Jesus.

When the Body of Christ sticks to their convictions, most with these intentions do walk away. They might persecute those who are sticking to their convictions, expecting them to finally relent. But we know if they hated Jesus, they will hate His Body, too, and all who want to live right will be persecuted.
