Before giving our lives; our hearts to Jesus, we lived under the curse of the law. Living under the curse affects our lives. From everything to the conditions of the earth, to the lives of others around us. From the actions of the devil, to even animals and every form of life. No matter our actions good or bad, we on our own could not undo what was unleashed when, Adam took that bite. The desires of our hearts were influenced by all of this.

To restore what was lost, only one thing could be done. By The One Whom through which all things were created. For He was from before the beginning. He was and is without sin. Our redemption was only possible through Him. A blood sacrifice had to be made; One with innocent Blood. Jesus was the only One who met the requirements. Yet, for this to happen the ground work of Faith had to be laid. Abraham was chosen, and he shows us what a man of Faith can do. From prophets to many other people whom God chose, they laid the foundation for the coming of Christ Jesus.

Through the actions of Jesus our relationship with God, became possible. Certainly, there is a curse on all who rely on their own efforts to live according to a set of standards because Scripture says, "Whoever doesn't obey everything that is written in Moses' Teachings is cursed." {Gal 3:10}
Christ paid the price to free us from the curse that God's laws bring by becoming cursed instead of us. Scripture says, "Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed." {Gal 3:13}
So now for the believer; the follower of The Way, what fuels the desires of our hearts?
When we give our hearts to Jesus, and accept the Sacrifice He made for us. Our desires must be fueled by obedience to Him. When we accept Him as Lord and Master, we must become His servants. Our desires then must be to Glorify Him. In time our actions will line up to our desires. We die to our flesh daily. For the Word of God is living and all-efficient, and much sharper than a double edged sword, and it pierces to the separation of soul and spirit and of joints, marrow and of bones, and judges the reasoning and conscience of the heart. {Heb 4:12} These verse should not scare us. For we can see that God knows our hearts. And, as long as our desire has more influence over us, than our flesh does. Well His Grace is a wonderful Gift, that we will fully appreciate when we are in Heaven with Him. Let us Pray that our desires are fueled by His Love.
