And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the Day of Judgment than for you.” ~ Matthew 11:23-24
Does this show that some will receive harsher judgements then others?

I do not think that the Word of God gives a clear picture of this, but is intimated in the verses you mentioned and in the following:
Luk 12:47-48 NASB "And that slave who knew his master's will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes, (48) but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. (italics mine)
Lord Bless,
LT
Yes, I believe that there will be different punishments. I think that what this text and the one that LT posted...then there is this one.
We look at Hebrews 10:29 -- Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Thank you guys for the replies. Also, thank you for the Scriptures as well.
Sis Tammy,
Another verse that makes us think that there are is in Revelations 20
Judgment Before the Great White Throne
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presenceoearth and sky fled away, and pno place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and qbooks were opened. Then another book was opened, which is rthe book of life. And sthe dead were judged by what was written in the books, taccording to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it,uDeath and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then uDeath and Hades vwere thrown into the lake of fire. This is wthe second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, xhe was thrown into the lake of fire.
