How's this for a starter?

Daniel 12v4. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end, many shall run too and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
v9. And he said, go they way Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

So, here at the end of Daniel, he is told that the words are sealed and locked up till the time of the end, when in fact, many of the prophecies that are written therein came to pass less than 500 years later.
ie. Seal the book for about 500 years till the prophecies begin to apply.

Revelation 1v1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass...........
Rev 22v10. And he said to me, seal not the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

So, here we have instructions NOT to seal the book because the time is AT HAND, when in fact 4 times as long as Daniel's years have past and people seem to be still waiting? Two thousand years is a long time for something shortly coming to pass!

If read on the surface, these two sets of instruction are contrary to each other. That is unless you consider maybe that the words of Revelation have been steadily coming to pass ever since they were written, but we didn't notice where and when.

I am no scholar of the book of Revelation, but the nature of these two sets of instructions intrigue me.

My own thinking on time is that there is a time of grace and salvation that's why the seal is open, but looking at the fact of knowledge being increased, this is something which could be and is being seen as being a god and to not have need of the divine. but as I say I think its only Gods grace and love that holds it back so long but at the same time could come about any moment. ie one taken and one left behind. which is another kettle of fish altogether.
