Last week my sister went to a Cherokee Indian Pow Wow. I can not explain this in its entirety, but to make a long story short, she went through a ritual of which she thought of me and some problems that I am going through at home. Afterwards, the Indian said to her that the spirits had heard her concerns and had a message for her. He then proceeded to tell her what the spirit told him to tell her to do. He called her by a special nickname that only my Dad called her and no-one else knew and told her that there was big trouble in my home, which of course she and I already knew, but nobody else did, and then gave her a feather, some incense and some instructions on how to rid my home of evil spirits. She gave them to me with strict instructions on doing this ritual. I am a Christian, is it right to do this, or is it some sort of "witch craft". Please someone who is knowledge please give me some input on this?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO it's not right to do it. You'll be releasing spirits in your home you never thought was possible. Yes, it is part of witch craft.
Thank you Tammy for posting. I was so afraid of this! I know that Indians are spiritual but I do not know enough about it to have faith in a feather and incense and such to remove evil demons from my home. I have learned that there are demons that can present themselves in people, etc.. My sister is so convinced that this is for real, she is begging me to follow the instructions. I fear that the demon was actually trying to trick her and that is how he knew her nickname. What do you think?
I don't know enough about it to answer that Denise but Satan can definitely use people for his evil devices even with them being unaware of it. I have said many times if most Christians' faith was as strong as American/Indians is in the spirit world, we would have some huge soul-winning Christians on our hands.
Are their any people out there that knows about the Cherokee Indians and their beliefs? If so, can anyone elaborate further?
Hi Denise, God bless you!
I don't know that much about Cherokee beliefs, but I can tell you the spirits you are dealing with. Familiar spirits watch and know a lot about us. Spirits can work in groups. I think you already know you are dealing with some sort of witchcraft. There's nothing new under the sun.
I know it looks very real because they know the special nickname. They can be very convincing. If you put your five senses on the back burner, ask God exactly what is going on. Your five senses can be deceived, but the spirit of God in you can see through all the razzle dazzle and the deception.
Evil spirits leave when you introduce light which is the Word of God. They leave because they have to in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no power in a feather and incense or chanting or rituals. The power is in the name above all names, Jesus Christ.
Love,
Mary
Thank you Mary for your wisdom on this matter! Please keep my family in prayer!
p.s.
If a spirit can get you to waste your time on nonsense, it will. It's not good to mess around with them. Go directly to Jesus Christ.
Love you!
Thank you Mischelle. Your article was very informative and interesting. I guess what I really wanted to know was if all of the Indians of this world believed in God and Jesus Christ. But evidently they are lost, which is very sad. Please keep my family in prayer. Thanks
Hi Denise,
Please listen to Tammy and Mary O. They are absolutely accurate and correct.
It really doesn't make any difference if the source is Cherokee or Hotsi-Totsi........Anything not of Almighty God is EVIL!
Christians should not delve into the occult (that's what it is) because they will regret it.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22," But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. (21) And if you say in your heart, "How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken? - (22) when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him."
Point is: if any person says his/her message is directly from God......and it is not 100% true....it's not from God.
Denise, there seems to be kind of mystique and kind of hypnotic power from native Americans which draw people into their power. Run! don't walk away from this situation in your life just now.
Dear Denise,
Why do I have the feeling that you have already taken this stuff, and followed the medicine man's instructions to "rid your home of evil spirits"..................?
Dear one, I've added you and your sister to my prayer list.
Amen.
Dear Richard,
Thank you so much for your prayers for me and my sister. I did receive the package in the mail from my sister with several instructions for me to follow. I did not do it. I still have the feather and white sage and incense. But I did not use it. As for my sister, she believes. She sent crystals for me to hang in my car and on my windows at home to ward off evil spirits. She does this. She also told me to get a clear glass and fill it half with water and half with salt, turn it upside down on top of a coffee cup saucer, which must be white, and sit it by the door which everyone uses most to gather evil spirits as they come in to my home. I did none of this. My home is full of trouble. My husband is a drug addict, he makes, sells, and uses. His condition is getting severe. My sister is concerned and wants to help me, but her advice is that of which I write. Please keep us in your prayers. Pray that God will deliver us from this bondage. Thank you, for everything.
