Gospel singer/pastor Tonex say's he is now gay and will go too heaven if he was to die today, because he is not lying about being gay.He also say's God allows covenants so its okay to sleep with just one person;fornication is when there's no covenant between you and who ever your sleeping with.Plz pray for this lost brother.

Hi there,

What do you mean by a covenant... meaning an actual marriage covenant? I am just wondering because a friend and I were discussing fornication a little while ago. I was told by someone that marriage back in biblical times was different from our times. I was told by a friend of mine that if you were with someone exclusively back in biblical times that meant you were married, without any vows, ceremonies etc
So is fornication when a person is sleeping with more than one person? I just want different insights on this subject. Thank you
DEE
Dear Dee, I only can only assume what Tonex is refering to about covenant..."meaning it's okay to have a sexual relationship with someone whether it be man/man,woman/woman or as God ordained it man and woman" as long if you are not sleeping with others at the same time. This is not my personal belief. God created marriage for one man and one woman there is no such thing as a covenant for sexual immorality. God warns us too flee sexual immorality because our bodies are a living sacrifice unto Christ and when we do this we sin against our own bodies, not just against God.Our covenant is with God once we confess Christ and that is to do His will thourgh the guidiance of the Holy Spirit in which we are sealed. Please know that sex outside of marriage is a sin whether its with just one person two or three...God bless 4ever&ever
The answer to this is capital NO- unless of course they repent!!!. There should be no debate about it and spurious justifications. In Genesis God created Man and Woman- Should He have wanted some gay stuff on earth, He would have created another MAN! Noah was instructed to get Male and Female animals (also him and his wives).

The events at Genesis 19:3- 7 clearly demonstrates the only sexual preference a man/woman got to have and anything else is an abomination!!!!!

and i quote 3. But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."
Also the events at Judges 19; 22-23 clearly show that sex with fellow men is evil!!! and i quote;

22 While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, "Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him."
23 The owner of the house went outside and said to them, "No, my friends, don't be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don't do this disgraceful thing. 24 Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But to this man, don't do such a disgraceful thing."

Do we need further evidence!!!!
Hi Sean, In Gen 1:27 God created man and woman and told them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth... Man and Man can not be fruitful and multiply.. God set up man and woman in a marriage &, the home . That is what God set up way back in the beginning , marriage was heterosexual - between men and women, not males and males ( it has never been that way in Scripture.) Also look at Leviticus 18:22 If there was ever clear language in the Bible condemning homosexuality, this would be it. "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, It is an abomination." Look at Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surly be put to Death. Read Romans 1:26-29 Also also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one for another, men with men committing what is shameful and receiving in themselves the Penalty of their error which was due. Also look at ( 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ) Do Not be Deceived, neither the unrighteous, fornicators, idolaters, Homosexuals, sodomites, thieves, covetous, drunkards , revilers, extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God Jude 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an Example in undergoing the Punishment of eternal Fire.. Homosexuals who want to go to Heaven must Repent and Turn to God's law. We must repent and turn from All Sin, turning to God's law if we want to go to heaven.. Read the book of Acts to see what people did to get into a saved condition with God.. Starting in Acts 2 . See what Paul did in Acts 9:7 and Acts 22:9.. May God bless you in your decisions, I will pray that you make the right decisions. charles
A brilliant answer. Damask.
I am very sad after hear this. I want to pray for him too. GBU
Hello M.L

Is smoking really a sin?

Thanks
DEE
Do you feel like you are doing wrong by smoking? Or do you think that God would be pleased with it?
Also, my father always said that if you have to ask then that means you shouldn't do it!
I hope this helps!

Your body is a temple and also are you representing Jesus by doing that! Are you being a witness to others? What about you shows God in you?
Dear Dee,

The Bible never directly mentions smoking. There are principles, however, that definitely apply to smoking. First, the Bible commands us not to allow our bodies to become "mastered" by anything. "Everything is permissible for me—but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me—but I will not be mastered by anything" (1 Corinthians 6:12). Smoking is undeniably strongly addictive. Later in the same passage we are told, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Smoking is undoubtedly very bad for your health. Smoking has been proven to damage the lungs and the heart.

Can smoking be considered "beneficial" (1 Corinthians 6:12)? Can it be said that smoking is truly honoring God with your body (1 Corinthians 6:20)? Can a person honestly smoke "for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31)? We believe that the answer to these three questions is a resounding "no." As a result, we believe that smoking is a sin and therefore should not be practiced by followers of Jesus Christ.

Some argue against this view by pointing to the fact that many people eat unhealthy foods, which can be just as addicting and just as bad for the body. As an example, many people are so helplessly addicted to caffeine that they cannot function without their first cup of coffee in the morning. While this is true, how does that make smoking right? It is our contention that Christians should avoid gluttony and excessively unhealthy eating. Yes, Christians are often hypocritical by condemning one sin and condoning another, but, again, this does not make smoking honoring to God.

Another argument against this view of smoking is that many godly men have been smokers, such as the famous British preacher C.H. Spurgeon, who was known to smoke cigars. Again, we do not believe this argument holds any weight. We believe Spurgeon was wrong for smoking. Was he otherwise a godly man and fantastic teacher of God's Word? Absolutely! Does that make all of his actions and habits honoring to God? No.

In stating that smoking is a sin, we are not stating that all smokers are unsaved. There are many true believers in Jesus Christ who smoke. Smoking does not prevent a person from being saved. Nor does it cause a person to lose salvation. Smoking is no less forgivable than any other sin, whether for a person becoming a Christian or a Christian confessing his/her sin to God (1 John 1:9). At the same time, we firmly believe that smoking is a sin that should be forsaken and, with God’s help, overcome.

I fully agree with Brian J.
More to it, and i like basing my propositions on the Bible- The words at Leviticus 20:13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

This is Gods Law and has no room for intepretations- its all in black & white.
