Attacks from the enemy?

I'd like to know something. I know the answer is obvious but I'd still like to hear the views of others.

Why is it that the more God uses us/puts something very importent in out lives the enemy's attacks gets worse? His attacks keep getting stronger and more intence.

I know the answer/s are obvious. I'm not really sure how to word it, so please bare with me with how I worded that.

You worded it just fine. The more you grow, the more Satan wants to beat you down. Short & sweet but that's the only answer I have at the moment. Stay strong in the Lord be of good courage & He will strengthen your heart. When the enemy attacks, he'll hit a brick wall.
