Gabby,

Can one justify ending the life of a 9 week old (or younger) person who is still in the womb growing towards full maturity in order to go through the birth process, the process of exiting the mother and engaging in the world after 40 weeks of life in the mother?

The Bible does not support abortion of anytype at anytime.

The Word says thou shall not kill. Realistically how many of us eat meat? smash an annoying insect? Pluck fruit and vegetables from their vine? In reality something must be killed for us to survive. I believe in a woman's right to choose. Abortion can be catagorized as a necessary evil much like money. The love of money is the root of all evil yet how many of us spend more time working for money than worsiping the Lord? If a woman's life is at risk due to complications from pregnancy I believe it is her right to save her own life. If an unborn child is stricken with severe abnormalities I believe in the parent's right to choose. How many children are better off being unborn than thrown into a world only to be starved to death, physically or sexually abused, cast into slavery, without anyone to raise, help,or love them? Without the right to choose how many women will die in back-alley abortions? Sin is sin even if it is merely a passing thought, let ye who be without sin cast the first stone.
The Bible says there is a time for everyting
Jared,

The Bible does not say that there is a time for abortion.....

Lol I haven't read that exact line in there either. I do believe it says there is a time for everything and i'm thinking it even says there is a time to kill
Study the meaning of the original Hebrew and you will find that there is a difference between murder, capital punishment and wartime killing.

BTW: I do not find this humorous.

I believe that the Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God. I read the King James Version because I can't read Hebrew. What does thou shall not kill mean to you?
Thou shall not committ murder. This is different from wartime killing and capital punishment which carry no punishment from God. Thou shall not kill has nothing to do with animals, but is relating to the murder of man and man only.

So muslims who killed Christians recieve no punishment as long as they declared war? Capital punishment reminds me of the old law, an eye for an eye. I'm thinking Jesus would have us forgive and turn the other cheek.
Does the Law of God given to the Jews to govern them apply to others in the same way while they are not of God? The Law was given in covenant relationship with God. Important point not to miss.

For those not of God will be judged according to the whole of their sin with ramifications both in this life and at the judgment seat as God sees fit according to His rightousness and justice. Those of Christ have been given the Word of God to guide their life. A life of one whose mind is blinded by the god of this age cannot ever follow or understand the Word of God. They can never live to please God or abide in His will in their lost state. You are not comparing apples with apples.

If Christians go to war without just cause then they are guilty of sin. Did Abraham sin when he went and retrieved Lot? Or should he have let them keep Lot? Was King David, the might warrior, guilty of murder? Yes, when he plotted to have Urriah killed. Were is the guilt for all the ones he killed in war? What about the prophet Samuel when he put Agag to death?

One who defends their family and kills and intruder intent on harming them is guiltless.

Your are deviating from the orginal question. Are you trying to justify abortion, which you supported in your comment, by arguing against murder, wartime killing, and captial punishment. That we lead to a dead end, for the act of killing a helpless baby is sin, unqestionably according to God's Word.

LT
Jared,

Is abortion a sin or not in your view?

Can abortion ever be a part of God's will for a life in your view?

Lord Bless,

I believe we are to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, soul, and mind and to do unto others as we would have done unto us. It doesn't matter what I think is a sin
